Initial Expectations: This has been a pretty darn hot series, and I’ve really liked a lot of what Del Toro’s been doing for Smash. I’m really looking forward to this one!

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn’t notice anything that interfered with it. The video is much the same way. There’s just a hint of grain and the scenes are nicely lit. The camera work can sometimes be a little fast and have a little much movement, but at the same time that’s part of Del Toro’s style.

Music: There’s music during the tease and some of the foreplay. It has an urban feel, and seemed to fit the action pretty well.

Menus: The main menu is pretty good, and blends a bit of the movie with some animation for a unique style. The chapter menu is nicely done and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl in the scene. After you choose a scene you’re given a second screen to let you choose where to go in the scene sexually.

The Feature

Camel Toe Perversions 3 continues with the camel toe theme while tweaking the style a little. Rather than starting each scene out with a fun setup, Del Toro has the girls walk around with a camel toe by a pool and cuts it in with a bit of the guy admiring it. After that, there’s a blowjob and some pussy sex in each scene.

Scene 1 - Ariana Jollee and Steven French

He keeps some of his same camera style, however, and his fast pans and zooms just didn’t work as well for me without the girls acknowledging the camera as they do with the hawking. I was also surprised to see Ariana not take it in the ass. Although Ariana seemed to be pretty into it through the scene, the scene not working for me better than it did might rest with me not finding the chemistry overly believable. Steven can be a fairly intense guy, and I can see some girls liking that. Here, however, he wasn’t too intense, which I guess means that we’re to see Ariana wanting him for either his body or his mind. Neither seems to realistic to me, and the scene didn’t make it too far past the average mark because of it.

Scene 2 - Annie Cruz and Tony T.

Finally, I was a little disappointed that Sara didn’t really put her big fat titties to use in the scene. This is a pretty good scene, but a little better editing would have helped it a lot.

I was more than a little surprised that she turned out a stronger scene than Ariana, but the biggest surprise might have been that Ariana turned out what I thought was the weakest scene in the movie. Maybe it was because I was expecting something different and maybe it just didn’t work as well as the others, but it definitely started this installment off on a low note. I had very high hopes for Del Toro and this series, as he has a fetishy style to his work that often works much better for me than what I’d expect. Here, they just don’t seem to mesh that well. Del Toro’s style seems a little toned down, and the overall style of the scenes just didn’t work overly well for me. I really missed the fun openings that normally seem to go with this series, as well as Smash’s movies in general. The movie also lacked a little from the others by having the scenes seem just a little too canned. Each scene had the same formula... walk around the pool, worship the camel toe, suck the cock, fuck missionary or doggie style, and then fuck a couple more positions before finishing with the facial. All that said, Camel Toe Perversions 3 isn’t all bad. There is some nice chemistry and energy in the scenes, but it just runs together a bit much if watched at once rather than spreading it out a scene at a time over a week or so. This is an above average movie.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about two minutes and gives you about six seconds per nice looking snapshot. The bonus footage lasts nearly three minutes, and is all Arianna and her camel toe tease. It’s a fairly disappointing bit of footage unless you’re an extreme camel toe fan because I think over two minutes of the footage is just the camera looking at Ariana’s shorts showing her camel to with nothing else happening. This is an easily skipped featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty minutes. Annie starts things out posing with a face on her pussy before chatting about her trip to Hedonism in Jamaica. Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. At the low end this one isn’t too bad. The sex varies a bit, but is fairly formulaic. The technical aspects are nicely done, and the extras show some nice care. This is a decent movie on a nicely done DVD.

Note to Smash: It would be nice to see you giving the guys credit as well as the ladies. Ideally, it would be in a cast listing by scene somewhere on the DVD or built into the chapter menu. I also hope you go back to the setups for the scenes in this series rather than just the quick tease like was used here.
