Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are extremely impressive and show plenty of care. The audio is clear and very well balanced without any background noises to interfere. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. It's very clear, extremely well lit, and has a great hand on the camera.

The Movie: In Cabaret Desire, patrons to the cabaret experience tales of love and lust and pay the performers for individual tales tableside.

Cabaret Desire is an extremely impressive piece of artistic porn. I'll get my one gripe out of the way immediately, and that's that in three scenes there's only one visible pop shot. Now that said, everything else about Cabaret Desire is unique, sexy, artistic, and well done enough that I really didn't care. I love the fetishy aspect of the thief to the questions of if the two former lovers would manage to hook up again or if fate would keep them apart. I love the dichotomy of Sofia's being in a relationship with a man and a woman sharing a name as well as the hopes of love come together with Liandra's birthday gift. There's nearly a mainstream feel to it all thanks to the fantastic care given to the art direction, and although the movie falls just short of an hour and quarter it feels so much more substantial than that. Going into Cabaret Desire I was expecting to just breeze through a little hour and a quarter feature, but instead I was drawn into each and every story and left wanting more in the good way by the time the final credits started to roll. In a sea of sameness that often seems to be the world of porn, Cabaret Desire stands out as something wonderfully unique, and I can't help but recommend that anyone who's even the least bit interested check it out.

The Extras: In addition to trailers, you get three short films.

Erika Lust's Handcuffs finds brunette Olga bored with her date Samuel at a bar. Unlike the other two shorts, The Poetry Brothel is directed by Patrick Catuz. This is a kind of tongue and cheek featurette on poetry and sex, told all in black and white with the performers talking about their experience going to the poetry brothel for a one on one experience with a poet, how the poets had to show that they weren't just off the streets, etc. It's a decent idea, but one that I think will have very mixed feelings from viewers.
