Initial Expectations: With Lena Ramon, Kelly Steele, and Venus, there’s no way for me to go into this one with anything but very high expectations.

Initial Reaction: It’s okay, but the style just didn’t do much for me.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are a bit weak. The audio is decently balanced, but there are a few background noises. The video has a touch of grain, but the lighting is very inconsistent. There’s also quite a bit of camera motion.

Menus: The main menu is okay, and blends the boxcover style with clips form the movie. The chapter menu sticks with the style, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip from each scene.

Scene 1 - Kelly Steele and Hamilton Steele

Scene 2 - Venus and Hamilton Steele

This is a decent scene that once again could have used a bit more anal as well as better camera work.

Scene 3 - Lena Ramon and Hamilton Steele

This is a decent scene with some decent humor in it due to the personalities involved, but at the same time left me a little disappointed because I wasn’t sure how much Lena was enjoying the anal.

Butt Plumbers 5 is an okay fuck flick. It has a style that’s pretty much all its own, and I think that how much one likes that style is going to determine how much they can get into the movie. There’s plenty of jokes, but Hamilton Steele’s asshole plumber that dominated the movie just didn’t do anything for me and started to really grate on me after a couple scenes. The reality show style with John following the plumbers around with the camera also didn’t work well for me, and just made the movie seem cheap. That feeling was given a lot of help with the poor indoor lighting that looked like its budget didn’t even allow for a clip-on work light. That said, the sex wasn’t too bad. Kelly Steele really starts things off well, but Kara Nox was the winner for me by playing into it so well and looking like she was having such an obviously good time. I think Lena Ramon and Victoria’s scenes were the weakest, with the camera work holding back Victoria’s scene while Lena’s left me wondering how much she was really enjoying the anal. In each case, however, the anal never seemed to have quite as much footage as the vaginal action. Butt Plumbers 5 is a pretty average anal movie whose style should make or break it for you.

Currently, many of Zaye’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $32 with a few stores offering them for under $20. I’d rent this one first or aim low. The sex is okay, but the style just feels a bit cheap. The technical aspects fall a bit below average, and there’s no real effort put into the extras. This is an okay release.

Note to Zaye: I guess this is one where the style either works for you or it doesn’t. Regardless, a few extras would have been very nice here.
