Review:
"The Bulletproof Diva" is a 27 minute, animated film from Global Media and director Jean Pierre Dillard that features Heather Hunter, a former Vivid Girl of the 1990's, as both the voice and likeness of its lead character. Shot in a dark, jerky style somewhat reminiscent of MTV's "Aeon Flux" series, Hunter plays the part of a badass demon assassin with a troubled past who's been employed by a dark, gritty, falling-apart-at-the-seams archangel named Gabriel. Throughout this short animation, Heather goes around blowing demons to bits as she travels from Earth to the various levels of hell--sometimes for pleasure and sometimes for "work"--but always looking sexy and copping a cooler-than-you attitude. There's a decent storyline developed along the way, and the characters are relatively well fleshed-out, as well. Sex-wise, there's not much more than some cartoon boobies and an R-rated sequence between Hunter and a demon at a club, so that's a negative. It also doesn't look like there were any more releases in this series, so the unresolved plot elements that are offered up will likely remain that way. For uber-fans of Ms. Heather Hunter, this one may be worth seeking out. For everyone else, it's almost certainly a "pass".
