Review:
A troubled woman with a past struggling to get out--conflicted and haunted by visions of a self long bottled up--Jewelz Blu finds herself in a battle between who she wants to be, who she thinks she should be...and who she really is. So goes Broken Butterfly: The Perfect Shade of Blu, an exceptional 2024 featurette from Jeffrey J. Hart and Holly Randall Productions. Featuring a seminal, defining performance by Blu, in which she strikes a delicate balance between competing characters locked in a near-schizophrenic competition, this release is equal parts disturbing and erotic, frenetic and sensual. There is no doubt as to why it scored big this past awards season.
Also of note are the performances of all others involved, with parts both big and small - Cody Steele (Jewelz' loving husband), Charlotte Sins (her party-girl co-worker), Casey Calvert (her therapist), Lexi Luna (her boss), Seth Gamble (a reporter), and Lumi Ray (Casey's assistant). They are spot on. Moreover, the effects, cinematography, and editing all coalesce masterfully in conveying the mood of the moment and drawing the viewer into the frenzied and distorted world that is Blu's mind.
Of course, the sex is strong, as well, with much of it fairly softcore and coming in short clips and flashes over the first half of the production, before raging to a crescendo with a hardcore boy/girl/girl blowout in closing out the festivities. The finale kicks off as a lesbian scene between Jewelz--a woman almost possessed--and Sins in the former's bedroom, but it isn't long before the panties hit the floor, the fingers and tongues get going...and Codey makes his grand entrance. Taken aback but certainly no fool, he watches and then eventually joins in... first with his wife and then with both. The good times roll, as the trio bangs it out in a palpably passionate affair that flows through myriad pleasurable positions. A pop on Blu's tummy and silky smooth pussy out of mish, followed by a bit of a taste test by Charlotte, caps off this steamy carnal fuck-out. So hot!
Extras-wise, some interesting and fun BTS material follows the primary movie on the streaming release at ADE. This is a nice addition.
