The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects show some nice care. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are a few background noises and balance problems during some of the outdoor sequences. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks very nice. It's clear and well lit as well as having smooth camera work.

Music: The music is nicely done. The style varies a little through the movie and it's well balanced with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The main menu combines a little animation with a few stills for a nice and fun first impression. The chapter menu shows some nice care, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene as well as the name(s) of the girl(s) in it.

The Feature

Steven St. Croix is a man with money, and he's used to getting what he wants. Bring Me the Head of Shawna Lenee is a nice little adult feature. I'll readily admit that Shawna has been much more miss than hit for me from what I've seen of her in the past, but here she shows some great potential and does a great job. There's nothing much of a plot for her to work with in her scenes, but her sex scenes work very well with Shawna putting out great vocals and nice energy. Phoenix Marie and Kristina Rose also each do a very nice job for their scenes and match Shawna's scenes for heat, while Faye Reagan and Jayden Jaymes coupling comes out as the weakest scene feeling like it's a half throwaway scene right from the start. As for the story, it works well. It's simple and bounces around between being mildly amusing, serious, and a touch out there with Evan playing all of the parts every bit as well as one would expect. Bring Me the Head of Shawna Lenee is a nicely done little feature that's worth checking out.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts a little over five minutes with about five seconds per very nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. Trailers are included for When the Cat's Away, Impulsive, Miss Blackwood Diaries, Dreams & Desires, Twisted Tails, and Spring Fling. There's also internet information and a bonus scene with an accompanying photo gallery.

The bonus scene comes from Stuff Dreams are Made Of. Brunette Alektra starts out rubbing her tits together with Alexis' tits and kissing her. The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Penthouse DVDs can be found online for between about $17 and $25 with several stores offering them for around $20. Aim low here. The movie's nicely done and has some good sex, but with the movie and bonus scene barely making 100 minutes I have a hard time recommending spending too much on it. The technical aspects are nicely done and there is a touch of effort put into the extras with a pretty good bonus scene. This is a nice release on a DVD that shows a touch of care.

Note to Penthouse: If you're going to release a short movie with an equally short bonus scene, please either lower your price or put a little more effort into your extras to justify the price tag compared to your competition.
