The Little Details

NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good for a homemade porn release. The audio is easily the weak spot due to a fair amount of camera noise or a similar hiss in the background, but the rest of the audio is fairly well balanced and clear. The video is presented in the full frame format and looks good. It has a bit of grain, but is well lit and has a nice mix of tripod and hand held footage.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower right corner. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didn’t notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six clips from the movie.

The Feature

Brenda starts the fourth scene in flannel pants quickly getting stripped down as she and Collin sixty-nine. This is a pretty hot scene. It's definitely an anal attempt rather than a success, and left me feeling like it was something they decided to just do on their own instead of picking up one of the great instructional videos like Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to Anal Sex, Nina Hartley’s Guide to Anal Sex, or The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex For Women. The lack of lube, the choice of positions, and the speed Collin tried fucking Brenda's ass all led to this being an anal attempt rather than a good first time anal experience. They do work in some good fucking and the cream pie finish was nicely done, but with Brenda's first time anal being one of the main draws for this release I can't help but say that I was a little disappointed for reasons I didn't think would be there.

Brenda starts out the final scene stripping down on the bed and getting on all fours for Collin to play with her pussy. As I've noted before in this release as well as other reviews, Brenda seems like one that internalizes a lot of her sexuality rather than letting it out, and while she seemed to be breaking out of it earlier in the series here it seems to be going back inside. That leaves this as a fairly weak scene and one that although fairly typical for the series, left me wanting a bit more.

Brenda and Collin 6 ends up an above average homemade release. It does have some nice things going for it in the first pair of scenes with Brenda showing some nice signs of enjoyment, but then comes back down a bit in the last two. The anal aspect is quite disappointing, mostly because it feels like two people who just decided to try anal rather than looking into it a little for some proper anal preparation tips that could have made things a heck of a lot easier. The final scene has very little chemistry, and almost feels negative at times due to Brenda's take of the pop in her mouth and Collin laughing at it. After the progression Brenda had made in the last few installments of this series I went into Brenda and Collin 6 with some pretty decent expectations, but came away a little disappointed instead.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Shot at Home's DVDs can be found on their website for around $20. This is a slightly above average homemade release. Brenda and Collin do okay with the camera, but the anal aspect is very disappointing and the chemistry falters quite a bit. The technical aspects are pretty good for homemade porn, and as usual with Shot at Home there's a bit of effort put into the extras with a decent bonus reel. This is an above average homemade release, but I've seen a lot better from Shot at Home.

Note to Shot at Home: This has been a decent run for a series, but I have to say that after this one I'm not overly disappointed at it being Collin and Brenda's last.
