The Little Details

NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good, and once again Brenda and Collin's new camera helps out the technical aspects. The audio is well balanced, but you do get a bit of camera noise throughout the movie. The video is presented in the full frame format and looks pretty good. As usual with homemade releases there's a bit of motion and some shadows, but it all stays in pretty good control throughout the movie. There is a little pixelation that pops up as well, but it's pretty limited.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower right corner. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didn’t notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six clips from the movie.

The Feature

Brenda is a redhead with decent tits and a very natural body with the curves women should have. Collin's a longhair who appears to stay behind the camera. Thankfully they used their camera to capture some of their fun, and four scenes of it are collected here.

Scene 1 – Brenda and Collin

It's a shorter scene, which of course helps with scenes that normally don't work for me, but between the pace and the variety I was able to get into this one better than I normally get into oral scenes. This is a decent start to the movie.

Scene 2 - Brenda

Brenda starts out the next scene sitting back on the bed wearing only a longsleeved shirt and going right to rubbing her pierced bald pussy. Brenda starts out the third scene laying on the bed in a faded jeans and a black hoodie over her longsleeved shirt before Collin arrives naked and ready to strip her all the way down. This is a pretty good scene. It's on the short and sweet side but there's some nice energy and a bit of vocals to help it out. Another position or a bit of oral action would have really helped it out, but for a scene that's pretty much just fucking it isn't too bad.

Scene 4 - Brenda and Collin

Brenda has Collin sit back on the bed and gets right down to start sucking his cock. Scene 5 - Brenda and Collin

Brenda starts out the final scene laying on her stomach on the bed holding her pink but toy wearing a white top, a little pink skirt, and black boots showing off for Collin and plays with her pussy for him a little before going to work sucking and stroking his cock. This is easily the best scene in the movie. Brenda and Collin pull out all of the stops and put out some great energy. I love that Brenda loosens up enough to get a little vocal, and it's the main reason that this scene is so good. Yes, the energy level being up there and the great chemistry is good, but what really stands out is Brenda feeling like she's letting loose and letting us see the real her having sex. This scene finished the movie on a high note for me.

Brenda and Collin 5 is a good homemade movie. As usual Brenda and Collin mix it up, and make sure to give a little solo action, a little oral action, and a fair amount of fucking (which can sometimes be on the light side with homemade releases). Brenda does a very nice solo toy double penetration scene to continues the sexual progression we've seen from her through the series, but the final scene is the real highlight of the movie when Collin gets pounding her hard so she gets vocal and they get the bed rocking so hard they knock the DVD player off the TV. That's the Brenda I was really looking forward to seeing in this release, as she started to loosen up like this in her last release as well. Most of the time, however, she's about as quiet as a teenager trying to get a little loving from the boyfriend who snuck in through her bedroom window knowing that her parents are just a couple doors down. Seeing her back to the shy quiet girl for the first half of this release left me a little disappointed, and I can't help but hope that she loosens up a little earlier in her future releases. Brenda is turning into a homemade movie performer that's worth checking out, but the fifth release from her and Collin is a bit hit and miss once again.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Shot at Home's DVDs can be found on their website for around $20. If you've liked what you've seen from Brenda in the past, this one should please you just as much. She's a bit quiet for my tastes, but I do like her once she gets loosened up. The technical aspects are nicely done, and as usual with Shot at Home there's a touch of care put into the extras with the half hour bonus reel. This is an above average homemade release.

Note to Shot at Home: I hope we see more of the vocal Brenda in future releases, but it's nice to see her growing sexually through the series.
