Bound (Blu-ray)

Bound abounds with well-filmed sex.

Expectations

I have never reviewed a Michael Raven DVD, and I think Stormy is beautiful. I'm eager to check out this title.

Summary

Bound seeks to find a middle ground between erotica and hardcore pornography. This creates double challenges. The sex scenes need to generate enough heat to satisfy jaded porn fans, and the story needs to compel our attention during the non-sex scenes.

The Good

Michael Raven does an great job of directing, and the camera work is first-rate. Porn directors should study this film to learn how to film cunnilingus. The pussy-eating segments, especially those with Stormy, show off the girl's beautiful flowers while also allowing us to see people actually having sex. When the camera isn't focused on the girl's pussy, it often cuts to the girl's face, and I found this very sexy.

Stormy is beautiful, has a gorgeous pussy, and is a great cocksucker. She also does a great job of acting during the non-sex scenes. During the scene with Randy and Gianna Lynn, she needs to watch while communicating both her discomfort and the fact that her character is slightly turned on. She does this without speaking a word by alternately lifting and averting her eyes.

Stormy and Roxy have an incredibly sexy scene in an S&M club that could easily have made me cum if it were a bit longer.

I have never seen Dianna Doll before. She is beautiful, and her tits bounce beautifully while she is being fucked.


The Not-So-Good

In order to really work as both a piece of erotica and porn, the script needs to be much better.

  • There is no central plot conflict, so the story lacks a clear flow. (It starts off with Stormy struggling with drugs, then with the loss of her husband, and finally she finds her sexuality while becoming the victim of a con.)
  • Things just happen to Stormy. She doesn't doesn't change becuase of an internal dynamic.
  • The first rule of writing is, "Show, don't tell!". Much of the story is told through Stormy's voice over.
  • At points, it switches to Tony's voice over, so it lacks a clear POV.


    • FINAL THOUGHTS


    The camera work on this DVD is excellent, and the sex scenes, though often very short, are very well filmed. This is a good choice for people who want erotic porn.


    A word about ratings

    I never give a DVD more than four-stars unless it makes me cum. Bound fell short in this regard.

    Since the sex scenes (though too short) were the best part of the DVD, and the script didn't work, I couldn't give it four-stars either.

    Still, if you are looking for well-filmed porn, with good acting from Stormy, you're bound to like this one.
