Bound by Desire: A Property of Love, is the third in the series of BDSM romances by Smash Pictures. It is part of the submission porn genre, BDSM for couples and women.

The gorgeous Casey Calvert is the movie’s super vixen. Her husband (Richie Calhoun) wants her to have fun and she wants him to play with other girls. Casey is Richie’s collared slave so the sex is programmed to be a bondage lovers feast.

The DVD is a cornucopia of rope, ball gags, floggers and alluring female submissives to receive the blows while giving oral blows in return.

In the opening scene, Richie is getting to know one of his wife’s friends, Natasha Nice, over a snack of strawberries. They're seated on a couch while Casey is on all fours, offering her back as a human coffee table. This is Casey Calvert at her best and snippets of her kinkiness grace the film throughout.

Richie invites Natasha to participate in a BDSM romp. The amply endowed French actress is game and so is the viewer.

Although everything in BDSM is consensual, the situation with a new girl requires a little prepping. Casey needs to persuade her friend to be a bondage toy for Richie. They’re an open minded couple, she tells Natasha. She's allowed to have other men if Richie approves. Now she wants to give him a gift in return.

“You’ll have fun. I want you to try something new,” Casey tells Natasha.

Natasha is fascinated, but needs convincing. “He beats you and ties you up, and you like it?” she says to Casey.

Flogging is fun, Casey responses, and the sex afterward is “so much more intense.” A doubting Natasha confesses she is pure vanilla; her last boyfriend was strictly a “missionary” position guy. A little kink sounds good, but Casey’s offer presents a question.

“Aren’t these the type of things that can end marriages?” Natasha asks.

Casey reassures Natasha about trust and tells her friend that she’s perfect to be a sub for a day.

From there the DVD’s first sex scene is ready to go. Natasha Nice is a beauty and submits willingly. She’s spanked and flogged, blindfolded and paddled. Addressing Richie as “Sir,” she begs for the intensity of the sex Casey craves.

Central to the film is a look at four women, all representing a different aspect of BDSM. First there is the romantic couple. Allie Haze is in a secure relationship with Some Dude. In one scene she is suspended, flogged and penetrated from the rear. It promises to be a favorite for BDSM fans. Hanging arms over head (AOH), Allie is stretched out as much as she can take. Her expression is pure lust. This scene alone is worth the price of the DVD.

Then there is Casey, the kinkiest of all the film’s players and the darling of this movie. The viewer gets the feeling that if her marriage did end Casey would find another master. Number three is Natasha, the neophyte who is introduced to the fetish. She’ll become a convert. Lastly, there’s the older woman dominatrix (Julia Ann) and younger male sub (Logan Pierce). The bondage here is fluffy but the scene is appealing for BDSMers who like age play.

Of course, any submission porn film needs contrasting vanilla. The beautiful Alexis Ford fulfills that role in a bedroom scene with Johnny Castle.

“I’m kinky and it takes more to get me going, to satisfy me,” Casey says early in the narrative. She’s quite different from the other girls and director Jim Powers frames the contrast in the dining room scene.

Natasha and Casey are bound spreadeagled at opposite ends of the table, ball gags appropriately placed to reduce any moans to whimpers. Richie and Johnny will drink a little wine and play with the submissives using ice cubes on nipples and belly along with deftly placed strikes of riding crops.

Casey Calvert’s reactions are authentic, not scripted. She arches her back wantonly with each blow, an energy that signals her satisfaction. Natasha is more subdued. It’s the difference between a true kinkster and a girl who dabbles in BDSM.

Later Casey ends the film with its best overall sex scene. She’s a screamer and Johnny Castle will accommodate her eagerness with deep penetration. Director Jim Powers shows rope marks on Casey’s ankles and wrists where she had earlier been restrained. It's a great touch.

The sex in this film is terrific. Allie Haze and Casey Calvert standout with their oral skills, Julia Ann is the perfect MILF doing a younger guy, Natasha and Alexis are veterans who know how to frame their bodies for the camera.

But it’s the kink that’s the heart of the matter in the Bound by Desire series.

In looking at the history of bondage porn, what has come out of the Valley is tame compared with Kink.com’s hard hitting shoots from San Francisco, the fetish porn mecca. But for couples, Kink.com can be a little much. So a a little moderation is needed and that’s what Smash Pictures does well with this installment of submission porn. By the way, special kudos to Casey Calvert, a real life BDSMer who is the perfect choice to carry this series. She’s a kinky performer and a bondage muse for any studio contemplating shooting a fetish movie.
