Bound by Desire is a BDSM romance gem. Couples who want a bit of bondage (think ball gags and floggers) to spice up their love lives will cuddle up to this film. For the fetish freak who likes to see women enjoy their discipline, there is much here to watch. Gonzo fans of piston shots and anatomical close-ups will not be disappointed either, though there’s no anal and only a hint of facials.

Director Jim Powers’ film is about pairings. The ever slutty Chanel Preston is a demanding submissive who works her dominant and husband, Evan Stone, for thrills. The story suggests they are into something together that includes filming sexual encounters. They cajole Casey Calvert, a collared slave who dreams of love and trust, to do the bidding of her boyfriend, Richie Calhoun.

A third girl is also involved. Allie Haze is lured into bondage sex but wants to persuade her lover, Some Dude, that bliss without BDSM is preferable to playing the master/slave game. Some has other submissives, Teal Conrad for one, to entertain him. Teal’s scene strapped to a St. Andrew’s Cross and flogged while a bound and gagged Allie looks on, is BDSM titillation at its best.

Is this a suburban bondage club or a bunch of kinky desperate housewives?

Whatever the story, there’s the confused Casey Calvert. She wears her submissiveness like a heavy collar. Though Richie plans to whore her out to his friends, Casey has visions of a “normal” relationship. To reinforce her vanilla dream, director Powers lets an irresistibly cute Kimmy Olsen get it on with Danny Wilde. Kimmy’s oral performance is a nice daytime interlude.

Three sensational scenes are on hand for the fetish crowd.

Elexis Monroe services Evan Stone just as the viewer settles in. Resigned to being roped to a bed and pounded, she says to Evan, “Let’s get it over with,” and drops her robe. The scene is an intense beginning to this provocative film.

Later, a dinner conversation leads to a Chanel Preston performance that is worth the price of the DVD. Evan issues an invitation to Richie to beat his wife and Chanel reacts with a “Let’s get it on” that fires everyone up. She’s blistered with a flogger and a riding crop and responses with a gonzo-laced performance. Any wonder that the upcoming 2014 AVN Awards has tapped Chanel Preston as a host.

For a lighter and chillier touch, Allie’s ice cream scene with Some is super. With arms tied above her head, this sweetheart looks delectably erotic covered with ice cream dollops. Some licks them up to intensify the scene. A new flavor of vanilla called “Some’s Delight” goes tastily with dining at the “Y.”

But this story keeps drifting back to Casey, a conflicted girl caught in the allure of bondage. How best to cope? Pleasure yourself, of course, as she does in a very hot bathtub masturbation scene.

Please note that Casey’s porn skills are not the focus of this episode of Bound by Desire, but the promise of seeing her in the upcoming part two is exciting. How far will she go to please her lover?
