It’s now 1992 (the year this film was made). Rick is now playing the son of the FBI dad. Unlike his father, he has left the bureau to be with his lover Tom Katt, a stage designer. Tom is young in this film of 22 years ago and he is absolutely gorgeous. He is nicely muscular and has a smooth physique. (Nowadays he is a hairy hulk whose thighs are so thick he has to walk bowlegged and amble along like Godzilla in his march on Tokyo. Why can’t gym bunnies know when to stop? They get a fabulous physique and then keep on until they are muscle-bound freaks.) Tom and Rick have a romantic coupling on the floor in front of a blazing fire.
As though to spite his former lover turned FBI agent, Johnny Rahm has turned to a life of crime and has become a Don. He sends two of his henchmen, Steve Regis and Wes Daniels, to kidnap Rick the younger. By mistake they snatch Tom. Tom tries to escape by coming on to Steve Regis. Regis is a very muscular hunk (maybe he inspired Tom to greater bulk, alas). They suck one another’s cocks and after they cum Tom slams a bottle upside Steve’s head. He dresses quickly and is about to escape but is stopped by Wes.
Rick doesn’t know what has happened to his lover so he calls his estranged dad and learns who has abducted Tom. He decides to take matters into his own hands with the aid of a cop who doesn’t always follow the rules played by Jack Dillon. We see this in the following scene where the cop avails himself of the services of street hustler Jay Corey rather than run him in. Jack is a beautiful guy and Jay—in his debut performance—couldn’t ask for a better first-time partner. Handsome and built, with a delectable wisp of hair around flat nipples, Jack resembles a football player that we would drool over but think it hopeless. Jay is slender and cute with dark hair. Jay goes down on Jack in an alley. Then climbs a grate to put his ass on a level with Jack’s face. Jacks eats ass and sucks cock. Then fucks him.
Jack agrees to help Rick and they head to a bar run by a know-it-all drag queen, Billy Boy who is played by Gender. The acting up until now has been exemplary. That is until we get to Gender who does those gruesome grimaces typical of over-the-top drag queens. I don’t find drag queens attractive. I guess I’m not supposed to. Nor do I find them funny. As I guess I am supposed to. Instead I find hammy drag queens and clowns downright creepy. He/She does settle down in the part, however. The boys learn that one of the henchmen, Wes Daniels, is a frequenter of the bar. They wait for him.
Wes is a hirsute guy—rather nice looking in a rough sort of way. When Rick and Jack come on to him, he is putty in their hands and mouths. Jack fucks him. Rick’s dick is in the other end.
Wes blabs and Jack and Rick rescue Tom. Enter Johnny Rahm with rod. Learning that his ex-lover Rick has named his son after him, Johnny relents and it ends happily for everyone except lonely Johnny.
Johnny’s aged make-up done by Gender is excellent. As is Johnny’s justly awarded performance. He appears to be under the influence of Brando in The Godfather, but his emotions ring true. Indeed everyone—with the exception noted above—speak their lines with conviction and are very believable. It’s a remarkable achievement. I always think a plot and characters help make the sex hotter. This film proves my contention.
The extras include a director’s commentary with Chi Chi giving us some background info.
BODY SEARCH is one of those oldies that is worth putting on DVD. Condoms are used throughout.
