Blue Moon Rising Review

Review:
A supernatural terror is unleashed when a deep-woods hookup involving a local biker, Dante Colle, and a tough-but-damaged, young woman, Aiden Ashley, spirals horribly out of control in Blue Moon Rising. An exceptional feature release from director Ricky Greenwood and MissaX, this recent entry into the horror porn genre arrives just in time for the Halloween season. Replete with claws, fangs, fucking, and cops, it will keep the audience pinned to the edges of their seats from start to finish--dicks firmly in hand, of course--and it most certainly does not disappoint in bringing its creepy, fright-filled premise to full fruition.

Indeed, the storyline succeeds in building the suspense throughout the flick and is intricate enough to maintain the viewer's attention. While it's not difficult to see where things are generally headed from the onset, there's enough variety and a couple of twists to keep it all from becoming clichéd. Supporting the plot are the masterful acting skills of the three primary participants. Aiden Ashley plays to perfection the part of the semi-unhinged, rough-around-the-edges heroine who's trying to fill a hole inside of herself, while Brooklyn Gray delivers in the role of her colder, wiser-to-the-world mentor. Of course, Tommy Pistol--a cop who's taken to Aiden but who is also no stranger to harsh behavior himself--brings the goods as he always does. Needless to say, all three do a superb job.

It should also be mentioned that the cinematography is strong, as is the camerawork--hallmarks of the director and company--and the makeup crew earns its pay, as well, particularly toward the end of the production. [Who hasn't always wanted to see Aiden Ashley with a hairy back and a unibrow...still hot!]

In terms of the sex, each of the scenes is smokin' hot, well-captured, and fits (tone-wise) into the goings-on of the film. Aiden partakes in three of the four sequences--a hard pounding by Dante Colle on his bike, a steamy, after-hours threesome with Brad Newman and Nicole Sage at a bar, and an unforgiving grudge-fuck with Tommy Pistol at his apartment. Brooklyn Gray also turns out an erotic smoker with Codey Steele, as well. Good stuff all around!

All things considered, Blue Moon Rising is a suspenseful, sexy, and well-captured release that carries a strong plot and lands as one of the better features of the year. Moreover, its timing couldn't be better, hitting squarely in the midst of the Halloween season, and the acting by its three principal participants both brings their respective characters to life and makes them believable. For fans of horror porn, Ricky Greenwood's other offerings, and/or Aiden Ashley, this one should definitely be checked out.
