The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 is a gay hardcore feature movie from writer Danny Zeeman and director Koloff that is a parody of Ryan Coogler's 2018 movie Black Panther, with an interesting twist. The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 is an Asian movie instead of the expected black movie.

The story for The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 has King T'Balla (Osiris Blade) of Rakanda and his queen (Velvet Lanore) landing in Wakamono, Japan, in search of the city of youth looking for Peckeranium that will extend a person's life and give a person power. The Peckeranium is protected by the Panda Brotherhood, lead by the Black Panda (Alex Chu) and to get the Peckeranium, T'Balla will have to win over the Panda Brotherhood. At the same time, CIA agents Evans (Bryce Evans) and Duran (Sean Duran) are also trying to locate the Peckeranium to give Crump, the United States President, eternal life.

The biggest problem that The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 faces is the story. The concept behind the story is good, however, the plot is very skimpy in the movie, which is always bad for a feature movie. The movie is broken up into ten episodes — five episodes in part one and five episodes in the upcoming part two — and scrolling text at the beginning of each episode gives most of the plot for that episode.

It is too bad that the plot is skimped on because there are some amusing set-ups that this reviewer would have loved to have seen fleshed out. For instance, when CIA agents Evans and Duran are caught while poking around the Panda Brotherhood complex there is a little physical comedy that should have been much longer.

There are also some amusing pokes at current United States president Donald J. Trump in the movie. It is too bad that neither Evan Stone (who played Donald Trump in Steve Matt's The Donald for Hustler) nor Dick Chibbles (who played Donald Trump in Nate Liquor's Donald Tramp: The XXX Porn Parody for Wood Rocket) was hired for a cameo as President Crump in the movie to flesh out the Trump segment more.

There is also a joke series about the CIA agents being in the closet that really gets glossed over too much. Danny Zeeman did manage to introduce the potential for a funny adult movie but just needed to give the jokes the time and attention they needed to play out. The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 would have benefited a lot from it.

The acting in the movie is stilted and awkward, however, the cast gives enthusiastic sexual performances in the movie. The cast may hold back with the acting performances, however, they seem completely in their element with the sex scenes.

The sets are relatively cheap and could have used better dressing. The movie seems to have been shot in a warehouse owned by PeterFever with little being done to make it fit the movie that well. The “special effects” are cheap, which if played off right could have worked, but they were as glossed over as the jokes. The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 held a lot of potential, however, the movie needed more attention and work. Fans of features will likely be disappointed, however, viewers who are just interested in the sex should enjoy this movie.

The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 is a multi-part epic adult movie, which unfortunately means that you need to pick up more than one volume to get the complete story. This epic series is composed of two films, The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 and the conclusion The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 2. For movies such as this, I wish companies would release the movie as one volume with a higher price so you can get the full movie or at least clearly note on the box for the release all of the volumes necessary for the complete movie.

The edition of The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 screened is the streaming-only edition available on PeterFever.com. The streaming site does have all ten episodes available together but the ten scenes are being split into two parts for the DVD editions (five scenes per DVD) being put out by PeterFever and Pulse Distribution. For review purposes, the movie is being split as it will be on the DVD releases so that the review is useful to DVD shoppers as well as fans of streaming content.

PeterFever has done a good job with their streaming-only edition of The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1. The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in high definition. The image quality is beautiful with vibrant colors and no noticeable flaws in the image. There is a PeterFever.com logo in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen throughout the movie.

The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 is presented with an English Stereo audio track. There aren't any noticeable issues with the audio quality of the movie and the dialog within the movie is clear and easy to understand at all times.

The only extra that PeterFever has included for The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 is a 19-minute behind the scenes featurette on episodes one through five.

Depending on what you are looking for as a viewer will depend on how happy The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 will make you. The sex scenes are nicely shot and the cast puts in enthusiastic sexual performances, however, the story is skimpy and could have been far more fleshed out so fans of features will likely be underwhelmed. PeterFever has done a good job with their streaming-only edition of The Black Panda: A Gay Porn Parody — Part 1 with excellent audio and video quality on PeterFever.com.
