looks, sexual prowess and charisma, and consequently the scenes fluctuate
as a result. Some disappoint, others are better than expected.
What I have come to expect is that David Luger's movies rarely stray from
a formula, and this is no exception. Aside from the inspired move of some
oily action for Dominique, it's solid but only sporadically impressive
sex for most of the way. In summary: I'm still not sure about wanna-be
fox Ashley, I was pleasantly surprised by Cashmere and Katrina, I loved
seeing gorgeous Monique, and of course it's good to see Mya again even
if the admittedly strong sex didn't live up to my doubtless unrealistic
expectations. But most of all, Dominique taught me, for the millionth
time, "Don't judge a book by its cover!" Whether all of this amounts to
a serious recommendation, I doubt it, but there's more than I anticipated
to Black on Black 4.
DVD Comments
Picture quality is good, but like on a few RLD discs I've seen skin tones
sometimes appear blotchy or "bruised"…. let's not go there! The sound
is good - up to a point, because in a rather unfortunate oversight, the
soundtrack has been omitted from a 20-minute bonus clip of POV action
featuring David with Katrina and Ashley. Oops. There's also a short behind
the scenes clip and the usual trailers and photos.
