Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants high technical aspects or a lot of anal sex

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty standard for gonzo porn. The audio is pretty good, but is frequently a bit on the soft side. There are also a few problems with the balance now and then, almost all of which are during the setup scenes, which are often hard to hear. The video has some very slight grain and is normally well lit, but the soft focus problems and shakes that do get in the way a few times.

Menus: The menus are the standard VCA menus that I’ve often complained about. The main menu has the same style as three quarters of the other VCA titles out there. Thankfully VCA is moving away from this practice on most of their bigger releases, but I still hate to see it on their other titles. The chapter menu is also done like most of VCA’s other menus, but this one they did right. Each selection has the name of the girls in the scene and a small clip from the scene. It’s a great way to do a chapter menu, and I’m surprised more studios haven’t followed VCA’s example here and listed what most viewers really want to know about the scenes on the chapter menu.

Borderline False Advertising: The title implies a heavy anal emphasis and the cover states “Loads of anal”, yet only 2 of the 4 scenes in the feature contain any kind of anal action.

The Feature: Omar and Burt are back. This time they’re off for a week of relaxation along the canals of England. As usual, Omar does all the hard work and has all the fun while Burt chases him around with a camera.

Omar starts out meeting Natalie, an average looking brunette, while stopping to grab a sandwich. They head back to Omar’s boat and Omar encourages her to gradually show off her body, which includes a nice pair of natural tits and a bald pussy. As they set sail, the guys run across Mel, a cute buxom brunette who’s been stood up and who takes Omar up on his offer for a boat ride. I’m not sure, but I’m thinking this might be one reason some guys chase after smart chicks, and if so, I wish I would have spent more time in the library. Big Omar’s Canal Anal Babes is an okay entry in the Big Omar line, and in some ways, the biggest disappointment in the series. You’ve got the usual stuff here that anybody who’s seen a couple of Omar’s movies will be expecting. There’s plenty of shaky camera work in the setup scenes and decently captured sex in the important part of the scenes. Omar’s attitude makes the entire thing work, showing the enthusiasm you’d think every porn stud would be brimming with. You can tell he’s having the time of his life and the girls are much the same. They aren’t the best looking girls around, but they do have a sense of reality and enthusiasm about them that make them every bit as enjoyable to watch as the big name porn stars. Despite that, I can’t help but be a bit disappointed here. With a title like Canal Anal Babes, it would sound like an all anal movie, yet only two of the scenes have anal in them. With only four scenes in the movie, finding four girls rather than two who are willing to take it in the can shouldn’t be that tough. Yes, all of the scenes were good, but I was expecting “loads of anal”, which this didn’t deliver. With a different title and cover claims I would have probably given Big Omar’s Canal Anal Babes at least another half point both overall and on sex, if not a full point. As is, Big Omar’s Canal Anal Babes falls a bit short and leaves you wanting more.

Note to VCA: It’s great to see you bringing out this series so regularly, but a couple extras would make it a lot nicer.
