Initial Expectations: Homegrown has rarely impressed me, and often comes off as just sloppily made movies instead of being the amateur studio they claim to be. I just can't get my hopes up too high for any of their movies any more.

Initial Reaction: It's easily one of the hottest Homegrown releases I think I've ever watched.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Homegrown, the technical aspects leave a bit to be desired. There's a few minor balance issues with the audio through the movie, but the bigger problem is background noises which appear in almost every scene. The video is presented in the full screen format and looks okay for the most part. There's a few lighting problems and a bit of grain and camera motion in the first two and last scenes. The third scene, however, is blurry, tinted, and feels like it was discovered in a shoebox that's been sitting in the trunk of a car in a junkyard for the last twenty years. Needless to say, the third scene brings down the entire movie for just this reason.

Disc Complaints: The authoring is a bit funky, which doesn't seem to be anything too unusual with Homegrown. Rather than having the entire movie on a title that makes it easy for viewers to skip to where ever they choose in the movie (which is extremely nice if you get tired of a scene and just want to jump ahead randomly or if you're viewing the movie later and want to go to a specific point in the movie) each scene has its own title, similar to how some studios run their TV shows on DVD. This style of authoring has thankfully gone the way of the dodo with most studios, but Homegrown and Naughty America seem to be sticking with it. Both studios are distributed by Pure Play and like Hundies (also distributed by Pure Play) there's only recently been an effort put into their extras (although Homegrown DVDs seem to use the same extras on all of their DVDs). Seeing that lack of care in the same areas for several studios being distributed by the same company I can't help but think that the problem and lack of care lies with Pure Play Media more than anything. With that little care coming from their releases maybe the customer should just be glad that they get a time stamp throughout the movie.

False Advertising: In addition to overstating the running time of the movie, the boxcover lists a bonus scene as being on the DVD which I couldn't find anywhere. I'm deducting a half point from the overall score because of this. These false claim have been on so many Homegrown releases for so long that it looks more like a deliberate attempt to mislead consumers than it does an innocent or lazy oversight.

Menus: There's only one menu, and it blends a simple background with text choices for extras and clips from each scene to let you jump to specific chapters. If you choose a scene, you're oddly taken shortly past the start of each scene rather than beginning at the start of the scene.

The Feature

Big Breast Amateur Girls 15 captures four scenes with just that. Okay, maybe not quite that because as usual with Homegrown's “amateur” releases you're all but bound to recognize a girl or two and the guys all seem to know just what they're doing.

Twenty year old Damiyana, a cute Asian girl, talks outside about how this is their first adult scene and how the only thing big on her is her 34D tits. She moves inside to show off on a polka dotted couch before she briefly plays with herself and is then joined by Jonny as they kiss and caress each other on the couch. This is a hot scene that starts the movie on a high note.

This is a hot scene. The opening is obviously staged, and although Katie's far from an amateur she makes it fun and puts on a very nice show. She puts out very nice vocals and energy through the scene, and it's captured pretty well. This is another very enjoyable scene.

Redhead Vanilla starts out the penultimate scene in the bedroom playing doctor with Jason thanks to the help of a stethoscope and blood pressure cuff. This scene leaves me with mixed feelings. Vanilla is cute and puts out some very nice energy along with great vocals and a nice swallowing finish. She does a nice job trying to work with the roleplaying here, but it all comes out so hokey that the heat in the scene was continually held back by my groaning and laughing. The scene was also held back by some very blurry camera work and a bit of motion. If this scene would have had bad hair and music, the corny setup and blurry camera work would have probably made me think that this was a lost scene from the eighties. This isn't a bad scene, but it would have been much better included as a bonus scene instead of part of the main movie due to its severely lacking technical aspects.

Brunette Kiara starts out the final scene with Brandon talking to her about doing some porn. She isn't sure it's her thing, but he talks her into showing off her very nice rack and soon after has her sucking his cock while giving him plenty of great eyes. She mixes in a little stroking with her sucking, and finally takes a decent load in and around her mouth.

Although I'm not a big fan of blowjob scenes, this one worked pretty well. Kiara has a very nice look about her, and that's not just her nice big tits. She works the tease very well to start the scene, and never rushes anything about it. The action is well captured, and helps the movie to end close to the high note it began on.

Big Breast Amateur Girls 15 is a hot little fuck flick. No, the girls aren't all amateurs, but at least most of them have a fresh feeling about them. The tit factor is very nice through the movie and for a Homegrown release (which normally means very sloppy camera work without much care towards the technical aspects after how many hundred or thousand scenes), the technical aspects are actually pretty good. I think Damiyana and Katie's scenes were my favorite here, and if it had been given a little more technical care Vanilla's scene would have been right up there with them. Big Breast Amateur Girls 15 is a surprisingly hot release that leaves me tempted to recommend it to people despite Homegrown's continuing to try to deceive customers with false cover claims.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for many of Homegrown's previous releases as well as a few of their upcoming releases. They nicely let you see who's in each scene and give you several clips from each movie, but unfortunately also lump all of the trailers under two chapters so that you can't skip a title easily if you've already seen it or aren't interested in it. There's also weblinks and a blooper reel.

The blooper reel lasts a little under twelve minutes. Unlike most blooper reels which actually contain bloopers from the movie on the DVD, this is a completely generic blooper reel that spans the entire range of Homegrown's releases. It spans so many movies that it's even organized into areas such as different background noises. There's a few chuckles here, but it's not nearly as good as it might have been if it featured clips from this movie.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Homegrown DVDs can be found online for between about $13 and $25 with a few stores offering them near the low end. At the low end this one's a pretty good buy. Yes, you've probably seen all the extras before, yes the technical aspects are sloppy, and no, you can't trust what Homegrown says you're going to get on the box. On the other hand you get three hot scenes with two of them being smoking hot. This could have been a really great release with a bit more care.

Note to Homegrown: Please note that sloppy and amateur aren't the same thing. Yes, you can keep things basic, but your movies appear sloppy instead of amateurish and your deceptive covers don't help your case any.
