Initial Expectations: I've heard that Private does some good compilations, but this is the first I'm checking out. I'm always a little leery about compilations, so I'm not too sure what to expect here.

Initial Reaction: Although there's some decent care put into the care of this release and the sex is above average, it falls a little short for the foot fetish aspect.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: With compilations it's very common for the technical aspects to vary a little. That said, there's very little variation to the technical aspects here as the scenes are all from fairly recent movies and Private has always put a lot of care into the presentation of their movies. The audio is clear and well balanced. Although the original movies were presented in anamorphic widescreen, sadly the presentation here is in non-anamorphic widescreen for everything but Private's lead-in to each scene (which is in the full frame format). The video normally looks great, with barely any grain and very nice lighting, but Simony's scene was the exception looking a little washed out,overly bright, and muddy.

Music: The music varies in style throughout the movie. It normally fits the scenes, but doesn't interfere with it or help it out in any noticeable way.

Menus: The main menu gives a still from the cover and the selections, and just has a cheap look to it. The chapter menu is much the same, and only offers a clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

Private's Best By Private series collects scenes based on different themes. Naturally, this release collects scenes with a foot fetish aspect to them.

Scene 1 – Julie Silver, Liliane Tiger, and JJ

The opening scene comes from Pirate Fetish Machine 26: Draculya, The Girls Are Hungry. Scene 5 – Chrystal and Thomas Stone

The penultimate scene comes from Pirate Fetish Machine 18: Five Doors to Ecstasy. The little anal also didn't do a lot for me due to the pocket pussy, which just felt out of place. This is an okay scene, but it was more concerned with the animal aspect than feet.

Scene 6 – Lucy Love, Vanessa May, and Gabriel Montoya

The final scene comes from XXX 21: Inside Sex, Sex Inside. Best By Private 82: At Your Feet is a pretty good foot fetish compilation. The foot fetish action is never too heavy, which is bound to disappoint some, but the girls are always hot and there's some nice overall variety to the movie. The scenes often have a heavier fetish edge due to many of the scenes coming from the Pirate Fetish Machine series, as well as a darker edge. I think the final scene between Lucy Love, Vanessa May, and Gabriel Montoya was my favorite, while Simony's scene came in near the end due to technical aspects that seemed very sub-par for a Private production as well as a surprising lack of a double penetration. As for the care put into the compilation, Private did a nice job. They identify the girls before each of their scenes with a classy opening, and the end of the movie lets you know not just who all of the players are in each scene, but what movie each scene came from, who directed it, and even where it was shot. Looking at the compilation in general rather than specific scenes, the only thing I can see that would have really improved it is if the scenes would have been presented in their original anamorphic widescreen format rather than going with the cheap and crappy non-anamorphic format used here apparently so that Private wouldn't have to update their introductions into the scenes. If you like Private's style and want a little foot action mixed in, Best By Private 82: At Your Feet will probably be a good rental or purchase for you. Those looking for heavy foot action, however, will probably be a little disappointed by Best By Private 82: At Your Feet.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, much of the Best By Private series can be found for between about $16 and $24, with most stores offering them for around $20. This seems a little high here. There's some nice care put into the compilation in general, but I went into this one in foot freak mode and was a little disappointed in it from that aspect even though the scenes were all above average. The technical aspects are pretty good, but definitely held back by a non-anamorphic presentation, and there's no real care put into the extras at all. This is a decent compilation, but it fell a bit short in the foot fetish aspect.

Note to Private: A little effort towards the extras and an anamorphic presentation would really make this a great compilation series.
