It opens up with "Sex Dance," where perky-titted Simone goes to Mark Ashley for dance lessons so she can become a stripper. Of course, it's not long before she shows her talent on both the pole and Mark's pole. Aside from the tat on her tummy (which Clive obviously told her to try to cover in the shot with her hand) and her need to shave the stubble on her pubes, I thought the scene was okay, if not a bit short. Clive continues to show his fetish for girls in short skirts, white panties, and tennies in "Santa Cums Early." Cute, big-boobed Kylie Rachel (gotta love these names), changes from that outfit into a Santa-girl number for a gig in a department store. Ben Brat is the stocker who gets lucky after spying on her changing. The sex is below average in my book--Ben's smaller dick makes for less-exciting visuals and the facial is really weak...a waste of Kylie's natural, jiggling beauty. In "We Whacked Him," sleepover friends Kat and Cherry Lane start messing around but are interrupted by the gardener and his weed trimmer. True to his name, Lucky, is persuaded to join these two petite, completely naked girls inside. If you're a fan of small-breasted women, this is your type of scene. Plus, the relaxed double BJ is great, with Cherry paying special attention to his balls. The threesome is hot because they are all actively participating in the sex--not the typical 3-ways where one of the girls is just playing with herself while the other two go at it. "Bicycle Babe" is the typical "come home from school, find a brother's friend there, tease him, and then fuck him" scenario that's common in barely legal vids. Haley Jay is a thin, natural B-cup brunette with an obviously tight pussy by the trouble Anthony has getting inside her. Still, despite my love of natural boobs and the decent, but poorly shot, facial, the scene is a rather unremarkable, oral/oral/4 positions/jerk-to-pop affair. The dictionary definition of "innocence" must say "see Wendy James." She's the unquestionable highlight of Barely Legal 38 with Tiffani Thiessen haircut, almost perfect tits, and a completely innocent voice. In the behind-the-scenes video, she says that she lost her virginity on camera and has not had sex in her private life. True or not, it seems authentic during final scene, "Love Seat" where she shows up for a nude modeling job and ends up fucking Tony Pounds on a sex chair. She definitely lacks the demeanor of a pro, and the speed of the sex is consistent with someone who's body isn't used to intercourse. Having seen quite a few volumes in the series, I think that it's definitely worth a look if you're into sex with a less "pro" feel to it or if you like the barely legal genre. What sets Barely Legal 38 slightly above the other volumes are the good three-way and the lovely (and if you believe her, inexperienced) Wendy James. It's not the best volume in the series, but my fast forward button was exercised much less frequently than in most.

from his talents as a photographer, Clive McLean excels at finding the youngest
and newest barely legal talent for his series. You'll never see a
twenty-something or a popular star in his videos except in a supporting
role. It's for that reason that his Barely Legal series is so
popular, and volume 38 is no exception.
