Synopsis:
This is another entry in Hustler's long time series which features letters to Hustler's Barely Legal magazine being acted out on the screen. Each stand alone scene features a female, who has always just turned 18, sharing a sexual story for you.

Audio/Video:
Barely Legal 34 is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo track, which works alright for the material being presented on the disc. There are some points during the movie where the audio levels vary enough to be noticeable, but not enough to ruin the viewing experience. The dialog can usually be heard at most point during the movie without any problems. Hustler hasn't included any foreign language tracks or any subtitle options for the disc.

Barely Legal 34 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. As with most discs from Hustler, the picture quality on the disc is excellent with a nice sharp picture sporting no artifacts, blemishes or any other problems at all. The color levels are appropriately set. This is what the picture on an adult disc should look like.

Special Features:
Hustler has included a few extras on the disc but some of them are just rehashed extras from previous discs. There is an eight minute behind the scenes piece that covers the making of the Dr. Strangelust scene only. There is a slide show that contains 20 stills on a track. There is a cast list by scene, which lists who stars in which scene. There is an error on the cast list though and the scene with Melody and Joey is improperly listed as the scene from Barely Legal 33 with Steve and Avena. There is the standard Clive McLean Profile, which is commonly used on the Barely Legal discs although on earlier discs it was called Director's Profile, which runs for five minutes and talks about the director's craft. There are also previews on the disc for Asian Fever 9, Young Sluts 8, Hot Showers 6, Young Girls' Fantasies, Real College Girls, and Young Latin Girls 2.

Navigation:
There are five chapters available from the main menu for Barely Legal 34. Each one is identified by a scene name and a video clip. Each of these five chapters brings you to a submenu which has five more chapter selections which are identified by a video clip and the sexual act that takes place in that chapter. This method of navigation makes it easy for the viewer to find any portion of the film that they are looking for. There is a time code for the feature film encoded on the disc.

General Review:
This is the thirty-fourth entry in Hustler's long running vignette series. The film presents five vignettes, each one plays out like a letter to Barely Legal magazine and the vignettes are light hearted and fun. Unfortunately, the series is slowly running out of steam and the vignettes are getting weaker and weaker. Viewers that could care less about a plot probably won't care as the sex scenes are still very well done, but viewers like me that enjoyed the set-ups will be slightly disappointed by the ones presented here in contrast with the ones earlier in the series.

This film is slick and glossy looking porn with planned shots that are excellently executed. The sets though are getting cheaper and more hastily put together, or at least this is what it looks like is happening. In the beginning of the series, the sets looked excellent, but now they are rather sparse and don't have the detail to them that they did. Which is unfortunate, as it does detract from the overall film, especially for those viewers that have followed the series from the beginning. I wish they would slow down the volumes coming out and go back to making the better sets and work on the vignette stories some more to raise the series back up to where it was.

The sex scenes in the film are tame, as with other entries in this series, which makes this film a great candidate for viewers that like tamer sex. Although tame, they do generate some great heat and there is an excellent light lesbian opening to one of the scenes. The lesbianism is light enough that anyone who doesn't like lesbian scenes shouldn't be bothered by it and it makes for a great opening to that scene. Clive McLean has thrown in his normal peeing scene into the film and at least in this entry it somewhat fits in with the vignette that it is located in. The cast, as always, looks great and interacts well with each other. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal sex with peeing, pussy eating (male to female and female to female), blow jobs, light lesbianism, female masturbation, and pussy fingering. For viewers that care about condom use, there are no condoms used anywhere in the film.

The Scenes:
Often in these titles the cast is renamed so they don't have their common name present. The scene listings are done by the name used in the film as I was unable to identify most of the cast members with their real stage name.

The first scene, “Fashion with a Passion,” brings us Lea and Tristen and starts out with a blow job before going into the pussy eating. The scene then concludes with some vaginal sex. The second scene, “The British Are Coming,” with Steve and Audree starts out with some female masturbation before going into the blow job. The blow job is followed by some pussy eating before the vaginal sex conclusion.

The third scene, “Practice Makes Perfect,” features Melody and Joey and starts out with a blow job before going into the pussy eating. The scene then concludes with some vaginal sex. The fourth scene, “Three's Company,” with Anthony, Nikki and Austen starts out with some lesbian softcore play before going into the blow job. The scene then switches over to some pussy eating, both male to female and female to female before going into the vaginal sex. The scene then concludes with a vaginal sex and a male to female pussy eating combo.

The fifth and final scene in the film, “Dr. Strangelust,” features Pat and Kitty and starts out with Kitty peeing before the scene starts. The scene then features some pussy fingering before it goes into the blow job. The scene and the film conclude with some vaginal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
This entry in the Barely Legal series, as with previous entries, is a fun lighthearted film with tame sex. At this point in the series, the vignettes are much weaker and don't play off as well as earlier entries but this doesn't mean that the film isn't worth watching. Fans of previous entries in the series will probably want to pick this one up along with fans of nice looking tamer sex without a lot of plot getting in the way. Fans of nastier sex or viewers that require a full plot for their adult entertainment will want to skip this one.
