Synopsis:
This is another entry in Hustler's long time series which features letters to Hustler's Barely Legal magazine being acted out on the screen. Each stand alone scene features a female, who has always just turned 18, sharing a sexual story for you.

Audio/Video:
Barely Legal 33 is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo track, which is alright, but there appears to be a problem with the track. For some reason on my equipment the dialog had a tinny echo sound to it. It doesn't ruin the film experience, but it is distracting at first until you get used to it. There are also places where the dialog is at a lower level than it should be. After a monologue, sometimes the background audio will stay low when the dialog starts there causing that dialog to be hard to hear. Hustler hasn't included any foreign language tracks or any subtitle options for the film.

Barely Legal 33 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. Unlike the audio, the video is in beautiful shape here rendering a crisp and clear picture with no artifacts, grain or blemishes at any point during the film. The color levels are correctly set making for an excellent viewing experience.

Special Features:
Hustler has included a few extras on the disc. There is a behind the scenes piece which lasts for seven minutes and tells a little on the creation of the film. There is a slide show that contains 20 stills from the film on a track. There is the Clive McLean profile, which has been included on many of the Barely Legal discs although in earlier numbers it was called the Director's Profile. The piece runs for five minutes and shows the director at work. There is a cast list by scene, so you can see where your favorite star is in the film, which would be more useful if so many of the stars in this series didn't go by a different name. There are also previews on the disc for Asian Fever 9, Young Sluts 8, Hot Showers 6, Young Girls' Fantasies, Barely Legal 31, and Young Latin Girls 2.

Navigation:
There are five chapters available from the main menu for Barely Legal 33. Each one is identified by a video clip from the scene that the chapter goes to and a name for the scene. Each main chapter brings you to a submenu which presents five chapter selections for each scene. They are identified by a video clip from where the chapter goes to and the sexual act going on there. This system makes for easy navigation through the film. There is a time code for the feature film encoded on the disc.

General Review:
Hustler's long running Barely Legal series has always been a fun series to watch. The set up to each scene has always been rather corny and the acting below par, but in a way that all adds to the fun. Unfortunately the long run of the series appears to be taking it's toll on the series. Don't get me wrong, the series is still fun to watch, but this entry isn't as good as the originals.

The sets have gotten cheaper. Instead of the realistic ones used in the beginning of the film, the sets look quickly put together here and rather bare. The set ups themselves have gotten worse as well. Again, it's not that they film isn't fun to watch anymore, the set ups just are stretching for ideas more. The one special effects sequence in the film is very cheesy and looks rather bad. It works, but it could have been done much better.

The sex scenes are formulaic but are still fun to watch. I wish there had been more variety to the sex scenes though, or at bare minimum, mixing up the acts a bit more. The sex scenes are all tame with one on one matching, which makes the film perfectly acceptable to viewers that like tame sex and for couples. Long time viewers of the series that enjoy the peeing will be disappointed to know that this volume is one of the oddballs that doesn't contain any. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal sex with blow jobs, pussy eating and pussy fingering. For viewers that care about condom use, no condoms are used in the film.

The Scenes:
Often in these titles the cast is renamed so they don't have their common name present. The scene listings are done by the name used in the film as I was unable to identify most of the cast members with their real stage name.

In the first scene, “Halloween Humping,” Britney and Craig start out with a blow job and some pussy eating before they go into the vaginal sex. In the second scene, “Snap Crackle and Suck,” Angel and Steven start out with a blow job before going into the pussy eating. To finish the scene they go into the vaginal sex.

In the third scene, “Internet Hook Up Hooker,” Jaden and Lee start out with a blow job before going into a pussy eating and blow job combo. The scene concludes with some vaginal sex. In the fourth scene, “Analyze This,” Avena and Steve start out with some pussy fingering before going into the pussy eating. The scene then moves into the blow job before finishing with some vaginal sex. In the fifth and final scene, “Lunchtime Lust,” Honey and Talon start out with some pussy eating before going into the blow job. The scene and the film conclude with some vaginal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
Although it's not at the caliber of the earlier entries in the series, Barely Legal 33 is still a fun film to watch. Viewers that require nasty sex will probably find the sex in this film too weak for them but couples and fans of tamer sex will find this film to be up their alley. Fans of the Barely Legal series will probably want to pick this title up too.
