Synopsis:
Essentially an all sex film with the set up being letters to Hustler's Barely Legal magazine visualizations.

Video/Audio:
Barely Legal 24 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. The picture looks nice and the print is clean of artifacts. The color levels are correct. There is a slight pixilization problem with the picture, but not enough to detract from the film.

The available audio track is a 2.0 English Stereo track. There isn't much for dialog in the film, so the track is mostly music and sex dubbing. This track is more than adequate for the material presented here. There are no other language tracks available and no subtitle options are available. If you don't understand English, you can still enjoy this film.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are five chapters available from the main menu for Barely Legal 24 and twenty-seven chapter stops actually in the film. They are identified from the main menu by a video clip and segment name. Given that they put twenty-seven chapter stops in the film, one would think they would link them all to the chapter menu as they do a great job of breaking up the film. There is a time code for the feature film, so time searching is available.

Special Features:
Although there are several extras on the disc, almost none of them have to do with the feature film. First off are the extras that are related to the feature presentation. The photo slide show contains 20 photos on a track. The director profile is a short piece on the film's director Clive McLean.

Now for the extras that are not related to the feature film. The first one is at least related to the series as there is a behind the scenes piece on the previous entry in the series Barely Legal 23. The superstar profile is text info, an interview and a slide show containing 16 photos on a track for Elana Wolf (Illana from Barely Legal 9). There are previews on the disc for 18 of Hustler's different ongoing film series. And last but not least, there is an advert for Hustler's internet presence.

Review:
Barely Legal 24 is the latest entry in Hustler's ongoing series. If you are looking for a nice glossy relatively tame all sex film, this is a great choice. To begin with, the film is beautifully shot. Each shot was obviously thought out before hand and perfectly executed. It makes for a nice change from the standard all sex gonzo film where the framing is often off.

The sets are nice and simple, enough to give you the setting, but not so that they interfere or draw your attention away from what is happening during the sex scene. The music, when used, is a nice companion to the scenes.

The set up to the scenes is decent. You get a voice over audio that gives you letters to Barely Legal beginning for each scene. The voice over says the beginning of each letter, then the scene goes into the sex to show you the rest of it. Viewers who have an affinity for women with small breasts will be in heaven here as all the females in the cast are small breasted. The cast is good looking, I don't think there was a bad looking female in the film. There are four sex scene scenarios with male to female action and one with lesbian action. For those who like lesbian scenes, the one in this film, with Joey and Anna is excellent. The sex, for the most part is tame and should be acceptable for more adventurous couples, there is some anal sex, but it isn't very hard, and a brief scene with peeing that could bother some, but that is all. For viewers who care there are no condoms used in the film. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with lesbianism, toys and peeing.

The Money Shot:
For viewers who like tame sex and dislike a plot, Barely Legal 24 is a nice polished product that is sure to please. Although the sex is tame, the film looks great. Viewers who require a plot or nastier sex will want to look elsewhere.
