Bare Muscle Review

Leather and titpigs and bears, OH MY! After being mildly entertained by HDK’s Dungeon Fuck Party (DFP), I decided to look further into the studio’s DVDs. This HDK selection, like DFP, is 100% sex—no acting, no plot. It opens in the middle of a five-way scene among guys wearing leather harnesses and goes pretty much non-stop from there, beefy guys in various combinations having tough man-to-man sex.

The film uses largely amateurs or at least quasi-amateurs. None of these “stars” are household names (at least if your house is filled with gay porn!) Steve Parker has been in some films, notably Fallen Angel IV (see reviews) and Steve Hurley specializes in “furry features” and has been a bunch of bearish DVDs and tapes from Catalina and others And little Steve Tuck has played the poor unfortunate fuck-ee in some films, as he does here.

I’ve always been attracted to this kind of sex—hairy muscled guys slamming and sucking each other on the rough side, provided the guys are hot looking, in shape, and love what they’re doing. Well, in this flick most of them aren’t and don’t. As I said, most of these guys are not porn professionals, but you’d think they could practice looking a little hotter or at least spend a few more hours in the gym before the film session. I think John Houseman had a line in Paper Chase where he defined “aaahhhmateuuurrr” from the Latin amare meaning to love; amateur being someone who does a thing for the love of doing it. It is not at all clear, in this sense, that some of these guys fit this definition. There just seems to be a lack of passion.

Still, some scenes are worth a look. Steve Hurley and Will West pair off in a sling side-by side with Steve Parker and Jason Probe in sling number 2. Will, in his cutie leather cap, is fully in love with Steve’s meat up his ass and, when they change places, Will plows Steve hot and hard while playing with the Titpig’s amazing stretching tits. And Steve Parker, the closest thing to a top dog muscle fuckmeister in this flick, really works up a sweat putting the rod to Jason’s willing hole. Jason has the most amazing veins popping out on his thighs as he’s strapped into that sling, his asshole devouring the big man’s thick bayonet. And then there’s Steve Tuck, who has every orifice worked over by Larry Wolf and Kyle McBride on the south end of the lad, with the boy-next-door mouthy smart ass Steve Wylie taking the head end of the boy and depositing his big load of white stickum all over his face and in his mouth. One other plus—throughout the movie, Director Michael McKey does a great job with close-up insertion shots and their aftermath, assholes oozing their deposited man juice. [A note: Bareback aficionados will be aware that HDK is a specialist in this genre. And this DVD is all bareback. These plusses, however, are not enough to get me to recommend that you spend your hard earned dollars on this flick. There are simply better choices out there—both in the hairy muscled tough guy fuck-me-like-a-pig genre or even among bareback sex DVDs.

Extras don’t amount to much—previews of other HDK videos, brief outtakes, and some still shots of the performers.
