Avenged is a bondage feature movie from director John Howard for California Star Productions that was shot on video. As far as the plot goes, Avenged is one of the better movies that Howard created. Before anyone gets excited, for Howard that doesn't mean a whole lot. At least in this movie the plot continues through the entire movie.

In Avenged, Reggie Kirkwood (Sinnamon) is the queen of blackmail. She is blackmailing Darlene (Geri Alcott), Senator Tom's wife, and Carol “C.C.” Chambers (Linnea Quigley), a rockstar. When Carol decides that she is too big to have to deal with Reggie anymore, Reggie forces Darlene to kidnap Carol and remind her that Reggie owns everyone she wants to.

As far as the bondage scenes in the movie go, unfortunately, they are below average here. There are some that are average but sadly the majority of them fall short, which is unfortunate since this is the most watchable of Howard's movies that I have seen.

As per the usual with Howard's movies, the sets used here are rather cheap and many look very quickly put together. The cinematography is lacking heavily in the movie. And the fight scenes are very poorly done and look very fake. The acting in the movie is subpar.

Overall, Avenged is the best of Howard's movies that I have seen as far as the plot goes but quite possibly the worst as far as the bondage goes. If you want to check out one of his projects, this is probably the one to go with, however, I can't recommend this movie.

The edition of Avenged screened is the VOD release through HotMovies. Avenged is also available in a DVD-MOD release through California Star. To the best of my knowledge, the DVD-MOD release uses the same master as the VOD release.

California Star has done a poor job of their VOD release of Avenged. Avenged is shot on video and appears to have been mastered from a beat up VHS tape. Avenged is presented in the academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 in 250i. The video is in poor shape with glitches in the video and a band across the bottom of the image.

Avenged is presented with an English monaural audio track. The dialog can be discerned throughout the movie however there is a very noticeable hiss that is present throughout the entire presentation. There are periods where the audio sounds muffled as well.

Avenged is a plotted bondage feature movie from John Howard and California Star. The plot for Avenged is better than what is found in Howard's standard fare; however, the bulk of the bondage scenes in the movie fall short of his standard fare. As a result, I'm not sure how recommendable the movie is overall. The plot isn't good enough to watch just for that. California Star has done a poor job with their release of Avenged.
