The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks pretty good. There's a few artistic effects using natural lighting and mixing in black and white footage that make the movie a touch more artistic, but the camera work is pretty typical for well done gonzo porn with a little motion and the light flattening out some of the colors.

Music: There's a bit of music for the tease portion of the scenes that's nicely balanced with the rest of the audio and then disappears before the real action starts.

Menus: The main menu blends the boxcover with a bit of the movie in a nice way that somehow doesn't seem too generic. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a still of each girl, their name, and a clip from their scene.

The Feature

Asstounding 2 collects five scenes featuring girls with nice asses. Each scene starts with a bit of tease before getting on with the real action.

Asstounding 2 is a pretty good fuck flick. The openings can sometimes get a bit artistic, and I'd be lying if I didn't say that they were a bit hit or miss for me. That, however, was also how most of the movie went for me. There seemed to be very good chemistry in each of the scenes, and there's some nice effort put into the setups as well. That said, the entire movie went that way for me. Although AnnMarie's scene worked extremely well for me and Bobbi Starr's scene wasn't far behind, the rest of the movie hovered just around the average mark often feeling like there was a little something I just couldn't put my finger on missing. Maybe it was the lack of heavy ass worshiping and tease in the scenes or the lack of anal for the last pair of scenes in a movie with a title like Asstounding 2. I can't say what it was, but because of it I can't help but recommend that people rent Asstounding 2 before they shell out the big bucks.

Currently, many 3rd Degree Films DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. Rent this one before you shell out the big bucks. The movie isn't bad by any means, but there's just a little something missing in almost every scene that I couldn't put my finger on. AnnMarie Rios takes the prize with the best scene, and although some of the others come close behind there was also something about the movie that often left me wanting more. The technical aspects are pretty good, but some of the video falls short due to the artistic effects, and the extras show a touch of effort with a nice behind the scenes featurette. I wanted to really like this release, but something about it never let me like it as much as I thought I should.

Note to 3rd Degree Films: Although this one might not have worked as well for me as I hoped, it's nice to see you still putting in plenty of effort into your entire DVD rather than just the main feature.
