Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty good. It’s clear and well balanced, but like most of the other SinTec and Digital Lust DVDs I’ve watched, you get to hear the stars get directions from off camera. The video is also pretty good. There’s some very slight pixelation, with the video looking very similar to a well done VHS. The lighting is nicely even, but there’s more than a few soft focus blurs. The camera and some of the other equipment also pops into the field of view in some shots.

Music: There’s only music in the “movie” portion of the DVD. It’s decent music but is so loud that you can hardly hear any of the dialogue that sets up the scene.

Disc Problems / False Advertising: As with any Digital Lust / SinTec DVD, you know you have to take the cover claims with a semi trailer worth of salt. Surprisingly, however, there aren’t any outright false claims here, instead it’s stretching things a bit in a debatable manner. The cover claims this DVD contains “highly interactive POV sex”, but the interactive portions of the DVD aren’t close to highly interactive as you can only make selections with a menu screen and not during any of the action, such as with Digital Sin’s My Plaything or Digital Playground’s Virtual Sex With series. Finally, the cover makes it appear that this is more of a kind of a spy game or that there’s a plot involved, but 99% of the plot is only on the boxcover. I’m not deducting any points from the ratings here, which I think is a first for a Digital Lust / SinTec release because I think both aspects are debatable.

Menus: The main menu is pretty good. It blends some nice animation with clips form the feature. It’s a better opening menu than those from many studios who have a reputation that’s cleaner than the inside of a dairy barn.

The Feature: The cover to Asian Sex Super Spy portrays it as a kind of interactive sex spy DVD, complete with a back story. The back story is nowhere to be found on the DVD, although there are hints of it in both the interactive portion, which is the main focus of the DVD, as well as the bonus scene in the extras. The interactive portion has three true multiple angles throughout the action.

The interactive action gives you most of the usual virtual sex choices. Miko will tease you with her tits, pussy, and ass, and will work her pussy over with her fingers, a dildo (where she also works on her ass), or a vibrator. You can have her suck your cock, tongue or finger her pussy, or even finger her ass. Finally, you can fuck her pussy missionary, doggie, or either cowgirl position, or fuck her ass from behind, and can pop on her tits.

Throughout the interactive portion of the DVD Miko absolutely smokes! She plays to the camera amazingly well, talking dirty to it / you and giving it some amazing eyes. Normally I don’t like mugging the camera, but in an interactive feature it’s something that’s almost necessary, and Miko does it every bit as good or even better as some of the top name stars that I’ve watched in virtual sex simulators. She puts some nice energy into the scene, and looks like she enjoys every moment of it. I couldn’t help but wonder why only one other studio has released an interactive DVD with Miko Lee after seeing the job she’s done here.

The main problem with the interactive feature is the interface, which is extremely primitive. All your selections are made from a menu screen, with each section (tease, masturbation, foreplay, and sex) having their own menu that you select from the main menu. Once you make your selection you’re treated to a section of video, normally lasting about sixty eight seconds with three true multiple angles, and you don’t get a chance to make another selection until you return to the menu sixty eight seconds later. You don’t get to decide to pop while “fucking” Miko, and if you decide you want to pop during the blowjob section, you have through the main menu to an entirely different submenu to get to the cum sequence. This is far from the “highly interactive POV sex” advertised on the cover (although it is highly interactive compared to some of SinTec / Digital Lust’s other releases). The menus last about fifteen seconds, but after about seven seconds all the choices disappear and it goes to a logo screen. You can still move your selector, but unless you remember the choices, and with the job Miko does here you might not have that much blood above your shoulders, you’re going to choose blindly.

The other main problem is the sex sequences technically. Miko does a great job in every one of them, but sixty eight seconds (or thirty five for the pop sequence) is just too short even if you do have three angles! I started to get into every sequence, but if I wanted to just sit back and watch Miko suck cock, I couldn’t as the menu kept popping back up. There also isn’t an option to loop the sequences so you can keep watching them. The sixty eight second sequences are also annoying because in every case it feels like Miko’s just getting going. There are even times her comments are cut off, which just makes it more noticeable.

Asian Sex Super Spy is a slightly infuriating DVD. On one side, Miko is amazingly hot here, and shows why directors like Bud Lee have called her “one of my favorite, favorite stars ever”. She turns in one of the best performances I’ve seen so far on an interactive DVD. On the other side, the interactive interface is extremely primitive, and is basically a glorified series of chapter menus. I think that Miko Lee’s fans will really enjoy this title, but interactive DVD fans might want to stay clear. Asian Sex Super Spy shows why Miko Lee should be thought of as a top notch performer and why SinTec should stay away from creating interactive DVDs.

Extras: The slide show lasts about a minute with each photo taking about ten seconds. A trailer is included for Jewel De’Nyle’s Super Sex Girl. The blooper reel lasts just over three minutes. The behind the scenes featurette lasts roughly six and a half minutes. Roughly half of it is an interview with Miko that’s very nicely done. She talks about her background and things like shaving, while the other half is Miko posing for still photos. Finally, there’s a “movie”.

The “movie”, which is more of a bonus scene since it’s in the extras and is only twenty two minutes long, pairs Miko Lee and Ian Daniels, and lasts about twenty two minutes. Ian stalks Miko, as his sources tell him she’s an agent. She claims she’s not, but has him come home with her so she can show him a thing or two. Ian starts out sucking and fingering Miko’s completely shaven pussy before she moves herself around so she can suck his cock and balls while he licks. Miko moves up to ride Ian reverse cowgirl style before laying back for some missionary work. Miko takes a bit of doggie before returning to missionary to finish off Ian and take an enthusiastic open-eyed facial.

This is a pretty average scene. Miko and Ian look like they’re both really into each other, and both put some nice energy into the scene. The camera work is decent, but the soft focus blurs are enough to be a little annoying. There’s something very likable about this scene that made me think I should really enjoy it, but I just couldn’t get into it completely.

Overall: Currently, Asian Sex Super Spy can be found online for between about $8 and $25 with a couple stores offering it near the low end. Surprisingly, this is a hot DVD with great sex. Sadly, the virtual sex mechanism is very primitive and the technical aspects have a few minor problems, but there’s some decent extras that help make up for it. This DVD is well worth checking out at the low end.

Note to SinTec: It’s nice to see that you’re learning something over time, such as not out and out lying to your customers on your boxcovers. I hope this isn’t a fluke here as you actually show some potential!
