The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Naughty America has been very hit or miss for me lately largely due to the poor authoring on their DVDs. With girls like Gianna Lynn, Mika Tan, and Nautica Thorn, however, I can't help but have a bit of hope here.

Initial Reaction: The sex is pretty formulaic, but the girls do a good enough job with it and the setups that I couldn't help but get into this one.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is presented in the full frame format, and also looks pretty good. The camera work is steady, but there is a little uneven lighting and just a touch of pixelation.

Disc Complaints: The authoring is a bit funky, which doesn't seem to be anything too unusual with Naughty America. Rather than having the entire movie on a title that makes it easy for viewers to skip to where ever they choose in the movie, which is extremely nice if you get tired of a scene and just want to jump ahead randomly or if you're viewing the movie later and want to go to a specific point in the movie, each scene has its own title, similar to how some studios run their TV shows on DVD. Needless to say, this makes the DVD extremely hard to navigate. In the year and a half or so I've been checking Naughty America's movies out they've made no changes to address the poor authoring on their DVDs, but after talking with them at the Erotica LA show it looks like that may change in the future. Hopefully soon this area will point out how these limitations are no longer there rather than how they hold back the overall DVD.

Menus: The main menu is very unremarkable and just gives a still with each of the girls and the choices. The chapter menu is pretty good, and lets you choose a scene based on a still of each scene with the name of the girl in the scene.

The Feature

Naughty America knows that sometimes when the yellow fever sets in it doesn't let go easily. Here they've collected five of their POV scenes with Asian girls. Each scene puts a little time into setting things up before moving on with the sex and a nice creamy facial finish.

Scene 1 – Nautica Thorn and a guy

Scene 2 – Miko Sinz and a guy

Asian 1 on 1 is a nicely light POV porno that works more on its mood than its substance. The girls are all hot and do a nice job of playing to the camera during the sex, but the sex is sadly limited. The action almost always goes from blowjob to missionary to doggie to cowgirl, and with the scenes lasting roughly twenty five minutes each it's something that's easily noticed. In the two scenes where it doesn't follow that formula it just mixes up the positions a little without ever journeying beyond those three positions. At the same time, I often found myself recognizing the formula but not really caring in almost every scene. The scenes all have a nice little setup and the girls play into that setup throughout the scenes. This gives each scene a slight twist so that the formulaic sex doesn't stand out as much as it would have without anything to make the scenes feel unique. The sex is also fairly tame in each of the scenes with Gianna Lynn's scene easily standing out the most just due to how vocal she was. Although tame, the sex is well done and remarkably consistent from scene to scene. I'd have a hard time picking a best or worst scene here due to how consistent the sex was, but Nautica's scene would stand out as being the weakest technically by showing a bit of the guy. If you're a fan of Asian women and POV porn, Asian 1 on 1 is definitely worth checking out.

The Extra Stuff

As usual, there's just a fairly poor looking still showing the many series Naughty America offers on their website. It's far from impressive.

Currently, most of Naughty America’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $27 with most stores offering them under $20. If you're a fan of POV porn and Asian women, pick this one up. The sex is hot, remarkably consistent, and although the positions are very limited and a bit formulaic the setups help give each scene a unique feel. The technical aspects are slightly above the average level, but sadly Naughty America has done their typical negligent job when it comes to extras. Even with the technical aspects and extras leaving something to be desired, this is a hot enough movie to be worth checking out.
