Prologue Here's the hype, Chico Wang's announcement to ADT: I'm proud to unveil Anabolic Director Sal Genoa's secret project. Under wraps for months, he has given me the go-ahead to unveil it to everyone out there. With a release date of May 31, 2004, his new project is entitled artcore. This is a unique project coming from Sal Genoa who has experimented with stylistic film nuances and applied them to pornography. With a thread and theme coursing its way throughout the entire video, I personally cannot call it a gonzo and, at the same time, I cannot consider it feature. I believe that this project will set a standard for a new genre that'll be tentatively called artcore. There is no structure to this video. It is a constant barrage of sex and hardcore filth that'll explode your senses and your testicles. It is nasty, continuous sex with layers of pure porno which will decimate your senses until it finally makes sense through the storyline. This DVD project is a vibe, you feel the energy, and it has a significant impact on your sperm count. | Epilogue Well, I don't know why they called this House of Whores. It should have been dubbed House of Rage. There was nothing but belligerence. The only moments where anybody showed some happiness were in the Belladonna scene and the three girl tryst, and that was judging by sound. Having said that, it's still an interesting video. Maybe I'm trying to read more into this than I should, but the bad attitudes and furious, abusive sex has to do with self hate and rage that lives inside both johns and whores. And let's not leave out the derelict, Tony T, who certainly must have his own issues. The lighting was uniformly dark, In fact, I watched it twice. First on my 20" in the bedroom, and then again on a 17" monitor on my PC. It was really difficult to see a lot of the action. I popped it onto a bigger screen in my living room and recognized Belladonna a lot quicker. Some people will love hearing this, but this is the type of shoot that would have benefitted from the extra depth of film. Of course, it would lose a ton of money if it were shot that way. I can't say I didn't like this video, but at the same time, I didn't love it. Everybody handled the pace well, but I'm an old softy, I would have liked a changeup in the tone at times. What happened to the whore with a heart of gold? There are some amazing performances, most notabley Melissa Lauren who must want to be hammered into another dimension. She gets savaged. Props to Alberto Rey. I don't know how many times he came, but he was like a fountain, and he had a great party trick, too. |
