The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is very clear and very well balanced. The video is just as good, with scenes that are nicely lit and which barely have any grain or camera motion. This is a very nice looking feature.

Disc Complaints: There’s no time stamp on the DVD, which always leaves me feeling a bit let down. After I watch a movie the first time I often like to jump around in it, and with the time stamp you can go to any point in the movie. Without it you’re limited to chapter breaks. Legend seems to be putting some nice effort into their recent releases, so I hope that this soon becomes a thing of the past.

Menus: The main menu nicely blends a bit of the movie with some style and a little John Phillip Sousa. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number, as well as choosing between the oral, anal, and cumshot in the scene.

The Feature

The Johnson boys are back, and they’re ready to give your pants a reason to salute. The Army of A*S*S* is here, and the girls are ready to take command. This is a dang nice start to the movie. It’s a more intense scene than I’m used to from the Johnsons, with plenty of spitting, slapping, and even a bit of choking. This is a great scene to start things off with.

Scene 2 - Brandi Lyons and Scott Lyons

Brandi starts things out in a pair of olive drab short shorts and a skimpy military top with a pair of black combat boots. Scene 4 - Layla-Jade and Juan Cuba

That said, this scene seemed a little on the short side and seemed like it could have used another position.

Unlike mainstream movies, where sequels almost always make horrendous sucking sounds worse than those that came out of the Oral Office during the Clinton presidency, porn movies seem to improve for their second installment as they work a few of the kinks out. That trend continues with Skintight’s Army of Ass 2, where every scene comes off a winner. Britney Madison starts things off with a hot and rough scene, and then Brandi Lyons adds a little tweak at the end of her scene with a great anal cream pie. Rio and Layla Jade also add their little touches to make this a winner, with none of the girls ever turning out a bad scene. The camera work is also very nicely handled, and manages to move around a little while making the most common shot one that lets you see both the penetration and the girl’s reaction, which I always love to see. Watched one at a time, a trick that this release should be able to do quite easily for many viewers, there’s going to be little to slow down the second Army of Ass, but watched as a whole it lacks slightly due to a lack of positions and almost always starting out with cowgirl positions. These are fairly minor complaints, as every scene worked very well for me, but still something that stood out to me. Army of Ass 2 keeps fighting the good fight under the command of Generals Johnson.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about a minute and a half with about five seconds per good looking snapshot or full screen photo. Bios are included for each of the girls, as well a trailer for Chunky on the Fourth of July. Finally, there’s a behind the scenes featurette and production notes, which as always are amusing and worth checking out.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts nearly fourteen minutes. After a few moments with Britney Madison, the Johnsons talk with Steven French about getting beat up by military whores. After a little more talk with Brittany about rough sex, they capture some of Brittany and Steven in action. Brandi and her buttplug are next, followed by a little fucking and cleanup with her hubby Scott. Rio talks about Brazil and London next before showing off some of her skills and giving Jules Jordan a little message. Finally, Juan Cuba and Layla Jade check in and refuse to have a bit of fun with Jules. As usual, it’s a fun little behind the scenes featurette that’s worth checking out and gives you some of what you’ll probably have a hard time finding in other behind the scenes featurettes.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Skintight’s DVDs can be found online for between about $13 and $20, with several stores offering them for under $15. Although the movie’s a bit short, at the lower end I can’t help but recommend this one for anal fans. There’s a great focus on anal, and it keeps things nicely focused throughout the entire movie. The technical aspects are also nicely done, and as usual there’s some nice effort put into the extras. Although the movie is a tad short, this is a nicely done DVD.

Note to Skintight: It’s great to see somebody put out an anal series that’s actually about anal! A little more tease or another scene to help the movie get past the hour and a half mark would really help things out here.
