The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice a single background noise. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and also looks good. It has a slightly artistic look with a washed feeling, but the look is even throughout the movie and the camera work is very smooth.

Music: There's a little music here and there, but it all rests very quietly in the background and never interferes with the action.

Menus: The main men nicely works through a little animation before settling on a screen that nicely blends a little animation, the boxcover, and a little action from the movie. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a few small clips from each scenes, chapter numbers that don't correspond to the chapter numbers in the movie, and the name of the girl for her opening chapter.

The Feature

The Big Hit is a nicely done light feature. There's nothing overly strong here about the plot, but it works well to set up each of the scenes and doesn't get too complicated for the stars to work their way through. There's a bit of humor worked in through the setups, and it does a nice job of letting Angelina Armani show off her eye candy skills. From start to finish it's easy to see why Digital Playground has signed Angelina as in addition to being hotter than heck she can act as well as fuck. She also has a nice edge to her that shows potential for some of the darker roles that pop up occasionally in Digital Playground's movies. Her last two scenes here were easily my favorite, but there's also absolutely nothing wrong with the opening scene featuring Alexis Texas. Vanessa Leon and Emy Reyes also do a nice job in each of their scenes, but they just couldn't keep up with the bottle blondes in the movie for me. As for complaints, the movie barely lasts an hour and a half and there were many times when the scenes felt like they could have been fleshed out a little more. Angelina's first scene with Evan Stone was easily the weakest in the movie, and that's mostly due to it only lasting six minutes. The Big Hit could have easily lasted a little longer, but is still a very enjoyable light feature.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts almost eleven minutes. After a few shots around the set and Angelina talking about the “Armani x-change”, Angelina and Evan help each other warm each other up. There's also a bit of Angelina taking on Jerry and Vanessa taking on Ben after commenting on it being her first time with him. Finally there's a few last words with Angelina. This is a pretty good behind the scenes featurette. You get a little personality from Angelina, a little humor from Evan, and plenty of eye candy and extra sex from most of the cast. This is a decent little behind the scenes featurette.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. The low end is pretty fair for what you get here. The movie's definitely on the short side, but is still very enjoyable with a light plot, a little humor, and plenty of hot sex. The technical aspects are a little on the artistic side but nicely done, and the extras show a little effort with a decent behind the scenes featurette. This is another nicely done release from Digital Playground, and a great debut for Angelina Armani.
