The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I’m not sure I heard a single background noise. The video is nicely lit, and has just a touch of grain to give it a basic feel. The camera work is handled nicely and there’s no camera motion that interferes with the action.

One of the things that I love about Christoph Clark is that he isn’t afraid to try something a little different. Angel Perverse is him trying something a little different again, and with most things one tries different it has places where it hits well and places where it doesn’t hit so well. I was rather distracted when I watched this one with plenty of other things going on in my head, but I couldn’t resist checking it out anyway because it’s been way too long since I’ve watched Christoph work his magic behind the camera. I like that Christoph is interacting a bit with the performers from behind the camera here, and I’m sure that fans of his earlier work will love that there’s plenty of gapes from some of the girls. The toys are big, but rarely huge, and once again Christoph shows a nice eye for tease. I think what kept me from getting into the movie too much was that the action was a little too similar from scene to scene. It’s almost all two or three girls taking on one guy at a time with plenty of anal. That’s a wonderful idea, but it just didn’t get mixed up enough for my tastes. Susanne and Vyona’s scene was the biggest departure from the formula, and even then it started off the same way. On the plus side, I love how Christoph is working in a lot more foot action and more girl on girl action for the teases. He has a great male cast here, but surprisingly Jean-Yves seems extremely restrained while Greg Centauro seems sadly underused. Christoph has shown a great ability to fine tune his series over time, so even with Angel Perverse not working as well for me as some of his other series, I can’t help but look forward to Angel Perverse 2. For now, Angel Perverse is a nice start.

There’s also a bit of Mandy, Katy, and Valentina as they get dressed and pose for their stills before Christoph finishes things up with Vyona and Susanne. This is a nice behind the scenes featurette. Christoph works in all of the girls, and also mixes things up throughout the entire shooting of the movie. As always, Christoph shows some very nice passion towards his work and his cast, and he appears to keep things light and enjoyable. If you’re a fan of Christoph or enjoyed the movie, this is a good featurette to check out.

Currently, most of Evil Angel’s DVDs can be found online for between about $18 and $30, with a few stores offering them in the $20 range. Rent this one first. Christoph is always worth watching, but I don’t know how much repeat viewing potential this one’s going to have. The sex is good, but a bit limited. The technical aspects are nicely done, and there’s also some nice effort put into the extras. This is a pretty good movie on a DVD that shows some nice care.

Note to Christoph Clark / Evil Angel: Please me a little more careful on your cast lists. I can easily see this being a minor screw-up, but I know many people love the cast listings by scene due to their accuracy and the ability to actually identify performers for choosing other movies later.
