The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: For only being the second DVD released by Insanity Pictures, Anal Instinct looks and sounds great! The audio is clear and well balanced, and the closest thing I can come to having as a complaint about it is that a couple areas feel slightly hollow. The video is just as good. It’s clear and well lit, and I didn’t notice any grain throughout the feature. The only problem with the video is that there’s a few quick soft focus blurs which I think are probably due to the auto focus on the cameras.

Music: There’s a bit of music during the tease portions of the movie, but that’s it.

Menus: The menus are fairly simple. The main menu is a nice shot of the boxcover. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

There are times you need a story or a little bit of plot. If you’re having one of those times, you better stay away from Anal Instict. Each scene starts with a bit of tease before getting on with some hard anal action!

Scene 1 - Ashley Long, Jr. King, and Steve Holmes

Scene 4 - Honey and Ben English

She isn’t into it to quite the point Sabrine is, but she isn’t far back either. This is a great way to finish up the feature, right down to the cum swapping ending!

Anal Instinct is one heck of a hot anal fuck flick! The action doesn’t ignore the pussy, but does keep a good focus on anal sex throughout the movie. Better yet, it varies the feel of the action in the scenes, so you get a little intense action, a little fun action, and a bit of group action. The variety goes a long way to making this a great movie, but without the enthusiasm of the cast here it would have never made it. Anna Nova easily has the best scene in the movie in my opinion, but the opening scene with Ashley Long and the final scene with Sabrine Maui and Dominica Leoni are also excellent! Heck, I even have to give the guys a bit of credit here, as Steve Holmes and Billy Banks do such a great job in their scenes. The closest thing I had to a problems were Honey’s scene, which was still pretty good, and Tracey’s “Look how nasty I am” grimace! Anal Instinct is one heck of a hot anal movie and one that every anal sex fan should take the time to check out!

The Extra Stuff

For a fairly new studio, Insanity Pictures is putting some nice effort towards their extras. The photo gallery includes about two dozen nice looking framed photos which you can work through at your own pace or have advanced about eight seconds naturally. There’s also talent interviews and a behind the scenes featurette.

Interviews are included with the entire female cast. They normally last between three and six minutes and are done by Paulo Banana. He gets the girls to show off a bit and talks with them about their scene, what attracts them to a person, and working with them in the past. They’re nice interviews that give you a decent feel for the personality of each star as well as for Paulo.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty minutes and features a bit of camera work by Michelle Lay. Michelle also gets along with a few of the performers to keep, uhm, spirits up. Michelle and the camera guy make their way around the set having fun with Steve Holmes, Dominica Leoni, Ashley Long, Tracey Lain, and Jr. King before and after the scenes, and even captures a little of one of the scenes being shot. Michelle finishes things up with a quick interview of Insanity Pictures Head Honcho Reno where they talk a little about the company. It’s a very nice behind the scenes featurette, and my only complaint about it is that it doesn’t capture something from every scene.

Currently, Insanity Pictures DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $25 with stores offering them everywhere in between. This one is darn near worth it at the high end! The sex is extremely hot and the overall DVD is done just as well. The technical aspects are very good and there’s plenty of great extras.

Note to Insanity Pictures: It’s really great to see a new studio putting this much care towards their product! Keep up the great work!
