Initial Expectations: Naughty America has had a fun style that's helped their DVDs past the poor authoring (which is soon to be changing). I'm not expecting anything different here.

Initial Reaction: The video's weak, but the movie's a lot of fun.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are a bit weak. The audio is normally clear, but there are some noticeable balance problems in places. The video is presented in the full frame format and is much more problematic. It's nicely lit and is handled smoothly, but there's some extremely noticeable pixelation that pops up throughout the movie with the opening scene looking downright poor.

Music: None

Disc Complaints: The authoring is a bit funky, which doesn't seem to be anything too unusual with Naughty America. Rather than having the entire movie on a title that makes it easy for viewers to skip to where ever they choose in the movie, which is extremely nice if you get tired of a scene and just want to jump ahead randomly or if you're viewing the movie later and want to go to a specific point in the movie, each scene has its own title, similar to how some studios run their TV shows on DVD. Needless to say, this makes the DVD extremely hard to navigate. Thankfully, it sounds like Naughty America is going to be improving their DVDs soon so this will hopefully be a thing of the past.

Menus: The main menu works through a little animation and few clips from the movie for a very good first impression that's a lot of fun and is a nice change from the standard main menu Naughty America has been using. The chapter menu is pretty good, and lets you choose a scene based on a still of each scene with the name(s) of the girl(s) in the scene.

The Feature

You know it's going to happen. Sometime, somewhere you're going to nod off or just daydream and it's going to be about sex. It doesn't matter where you are, but the next thing you know you're fantasizing about banging a client or even a super hero.

Scene 1 – Carly Parker and Tommy Pistol

Scene 2 – Austin Kincaid and a guy

The scene is on the long side running almost a half hour, but it rarely drags and ends up working pretty well.

Scene 3 – Holly Morgan and Kurt Lockwood

Although the action is captured nicely, the video is weak once again and does hold the action back slightly. This scene is a nice blend of hot and fun with some great chemistry to top it off.

Scene 4 – Mindy Main and Derrick Pierce

Brunette Mindy wishes she had a gardener and a drink by the pool as she works on the weeds, and is quickly taken into her fantasy as she eyes Derrick working on the bushes as she sits by the pool in her bikini enjoying her drink and her fingers. I also love the humor with the porn outfit and pizza dude, which is taken over the top just enough to make it enjoyable rather than a dumb cliche. This is a nice scene to finish the movie with.

American Daydreams 6 is a great piece of light porn. No, you don't get all the wild group sex, hard anal, or girls taking on each other seeing how many fingers and toys they can fit into each other. Instead you get sex that's normally easy to relate to with plenty of chemistry and fun setups. The entire movie feels like it's made for couples, and rather than seeing how soft and boring it can get Naughty America actually does it right. There's plenty of chuckles along with a couple downright laughs for the setups that make it easy to get into the scenes while the sex goes at a nice pace and mixes things up nicely. Yes, there's a part of me that would have liked a touch more variety, but at the same time I love that I can pop in a Naughty America movie and not know if it's all going to be couples action, if there's going to be group scenes, anal sex, or girl on girl action rather than picking up a movie and knowing exactly how many of what kind of scenes are going to be on it. The only real complaint I can have about the movie is that the video is noticeably weak through most of the movie. American Daydreams 6 is a very enjoyable movie that nicely mixes sex that's easy to relate to with fun setups, and I can't help but recommend it even with weak video quality.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Naughty America’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $27 with most stores offering them under $20. At the low end I can't help but recommend this one. No, there aren't any extras and yes the technical aspects are a bit weak. The movie, however, is extremely enjoyable and has sex that's hot with scenes that are fun. Although the overall DVD could use a bit more effort, this is a fun release.

Note to Naughty America: It's great to see you putting a little effort into the overall DVD, and the opening menu gave the best first impression I've seen so far from you. On the other hand, the video quality was some of the worst I've seen from you so I hope you can get that fixed soon!
