Initial Expectations: Although I really like some of the female talent here, something about this one scares me a little.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something that feels unique in any way

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is surprisingly good. It’s clear, there aren’t any background noises, and it’s even well balanced. The video, however, leaves a bit to be desired. The lighting is a little high through much of the movie, but the bigger problem is that the entire movie is slightly out of focus. I was stone cold sober when watching this movie, but my eyes felt like I had drank a six-pack beforehand.

Music: The music is sexy and nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

False Advertising / Disc Complaints: The cast listing on the cover and the cast listing in the movie only agree about half way. There’s plenty of female talent left out here, and although some porn stars are known to change their names more often than their underwear, this title is recent enough that it shouldn’t be a problem. The bigger problem is that I’m not sure that everybody listed in the opening credits is even in the movie!

Menus: The menus are very typical. The main menu has a little animation and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature: Dr. Thomas Gunn is having a hard time. He’s working for the Mob, as it’s the family business (pun intended), but really wants to be a singer in a rock and roll band. When he finds out what a whore his girlfriend is he heads to a strip joint and actually finds a little inspiration to chase his dreams.

Amythiest Stone, who apparently didn’t realize that as a woman she was supposed to be named Amythiest Lynn rather than Amythiest Stone, starts things off with Dr. Thomas Gunn, a guy with a bunch of tattoos. She lays back and lets him kiss his way across her great body before tonguing and fingering her twat. Amythiest takes Tomas into her throat before letting him spoon her and riding him in both cowgirls. Amythiest finally sucks him into her mouth before letting it run back down over his cock.

This is a pretty good scene that could have been much better. Both Amythiest and Thomas are nicely vocal, but they overdo it just enough for me to doubt its authenticity. In her defense, I will say that Amythiest puts in a nicely energetic scene and with her energy level I don’t really doubt that she was into her scene. The editing seems a bit sharp, and due to a couple of the cuts I can’t help but think Thomas had wood problems and Amythiest had more than a little bit of a challenge to get him to pop.

Egypt, a cute blonde, takes on Fabio for one of Filthy Frank’s porn shoots. They exchange oral favors before working through a few of the common positions. Finally, Egypt helps Fabio get his half-limp dick to spew a nice load of jiz onto her face.

This scene didn’t really do much for me. Egypt was okay, but Fabio seemed completely lost and looked like he could barely maintain wood. It wasn’t helped at all by Filthy Frank screaming obscenities at the performers and degrading Egypt as much as he could. I couldn’t help but think that this was a scene with a lame Max Hardcore wannabe.

Amythiest Stone returns to take on Chuck Martino next. Chuck blindfolds her before working on her with his fingers. She sucks his cock in reciprocation and then lays back for him to nail her missionary style. She finally takes off the blindfold to get a nice facial from Chuck.

Once again, Amythiest does a very good job. She puts some nice energy and vocals into the scene, and looks like she’s really enjoying herself. As with her previous scene, she pushes it so that I doubt some of her enthusiasm, but she still puts out a very good performance here. The biggest problem here is the camera work, which never did give me an angle I was really happy with.

Angelica Sin and Chennin Blanc put on a strip show on stage in the fourth scene. They dance around a bit before Chennin breaks out the toys. She works Angelica up to a double penetration before letting Angelica work on her pussy with a toy.

This is another pretty average scene. Angelica and Chennin look like they’re having a lot of fun working each other over, but the camera never seemed to capture it to my liking. It focuses a bit much on close-ups, and when it went to distance shots they were often somewhat obstructed.

Finally, Dr. Thomas Gunn takes on Mercedes, a big tittied brunette, in another strip club. She dances for him before coming over to the couch and helping him out of clothes. She works her mouth, pierced tongue, and big fat titties over his cock before he goes right to spearing her snatch missionary style. She rides him reverse cowgirl style before finally finishing things up taking a decent pop on her face.

This is a pretty typical porn scene, but one of the better ones in the movie. Some of the things I didn’t like from the other scenes was here also, but bringing in a little titty fucking helped set it apart from the rest nicely. Mercedes is cute and looks like she enjoys herself throughout the scene with some nice energy. It’s a decent scene to finish things up with.

America Born is a pretty stereotypical porno. The story is weak, but does an okay job of setting up the sex scenes. The sex scenes leave me with mixed feelings. On one hand, I was disappointed because the camera work and editing frequently left me cold. On the other hand, there’s some decent chemistry and energy in each of the scenes, with Amythiest Stone doing a great job in both of her scenes. She’s vocal, energetic, and has one heck of a great sultry look. Sadly, the problems kept me from getting into the scenes completely, but I wasn’t completely disappointed either. American Born is worth a rental if you’re interested in any of the stars it contains.

Extras: The photo gallery lasts with about a minute and three quarters with five seconds per nice looking photo.

Overall: Currently, many Lord Perious DVDs can be found online for between about $4 and $25, with stores pretty much offering them at both ends. At the low end this isn’t a bad buy. The movie is nothing special, but does have some decent action. The technical aspects could have used a little work, and there’s nothing worth mentioning for extras.

Note to Lord Perious: You have an okay start here, but a little polish could go a long way. Clean up your video, and stick in a couple extras. You have quite a few new performers, so something like a cast listing would be great here.
