The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done, and for the most part show a definite improvement from some of the earlier episodes in the series. The audio is pretty well balanced, but there are a few areas where the background noises creep into the scene a bit loud or where the interviews seem slightly out of balance. The biggest problem for the audio occurs during Mandy Bright’s scene, which appears to be mostly dubbed or to not come close to synching with the video as well as having most of the background noises and other audio problems in the feature. The video is also very nice. Gone is the grain, which is instead replaced by a nicely clear picture with nice lighting. Luc often has a minimalistic feel to his movies, and this one does that, but does it right.

Music: None

Disc Problems: There’s six phone sex trailers at the start of this DVD that you can’t skip past to get to the main menu. You don’t have to watch them all, but you have to skip them one at a time using the skip forward button rather than just jumping to the main menu. Adam & Eve has been putting a few phone sex commercials at the start of their DVDs now and then, but this is the first time I couldn’t skip past them. It really bugs me and I hope that it was just a fluke here!

Menus: The main menu gives a good first impression. It blends a clip from the movie with the choices in a simple but very pleasing way. The chapter menu is very nicely done, and lets you jump to a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the stars in each scene.

The Feature

Luc Wylder, one of the nicest guys in the adult industry, hosts Amateur Angels. Although the girls aren’t quite amateurs in most cases (there’s a lot of familiar faces in the series), they’re all relatively new. Luc interviews each of the lovely ladies, and then lets them show what they can do.

Scene 1 - Cameron and Joey Ray

Green eyed blonde Cameron gives Luc her fourth scene with the help of Joey Ray in Luc’s pool after she tells him that she won the nation championship swimming. They start out on the patio next to the pool for Cameron to give Joey a little oral warmup before Joey gets into the pool and eats Cameron while she sits on the edge. He lets her continue to lay there as he starts fucking her. They get in a little doggie style in the pool as well before moving back onto the concrete for some cowgirl before Joey decorates Cameron’s nicely natural chest.

This is a pretty good scene. Cameron and Joey seem to be into it okay, and Cameron still has much of the “new girl” feel where she’s not quite sure whether to look into the camera, pay attention to her partner, or what. The confusion didn’t do a lot for me, but you can tell that she’s enjoying herself which did work for me. It’s a good way to start off the feature, and I’m sure Cameron’s fans will enjoy seeing her as she’s still getting her feet on the ground here.

Scene 2 - Samy Bright and Felix Vicious

Samy, a good looking bottle blonde, and Felix, a gorgeously cute brunette, start out there scene running upstairs to check out Luc and Alexandra’s toy box. Luc interrupts their exploring to talk with them a little, where Felix tells him that this is going to be her first girl / girl on camera experience. They start out the real action with some soft and passionate kissing before playing with a blow-up doll and modeled pussy and ass toy. Finally they decide to strip down to show off their great natural bodies. Samy lets her tongue wander across Felix’ great tits before settling down in her bald beaver, kissing it softly and letting her fingers help her out. Luc finally interrupts them to let them know that he has all the footage he needs, which looks like a relief to Samy who appears close to exhaustion. The girls seal the deal with another great kiss before Luc fades things out.

This is a great lesbian scene! Both Felix and Samy are extremely hot and look like they really enjoy being with each other. Unlike some scenes, the toys don’t feel like a crutch for it, and seem to be a fairly natural part of the scene. I hated Luc interrupting them near the end of the scene, but after seeing the satisfied look on Samy’s face when Felix stopped, my feeling of dissatisfaction disappeared as you could tell that Samy wasn’t feeling shorted of anything. This is a great scene and reminds me that I really have to check out more of Felix Vicious!

Scene 3 - Juliana Kincaid and Kyle Stone

Juliana talks about wanting to do her first on camera anal for Luc, and even turns around and drops her shorts to show the buttplug she’s wearing. They nicely exchange oral favors before Kyle fucks Juliana from behind. She also rides him reverse cowgirl style before letting him fuck her ass missionary style and pop on her stomach.

As usual, Juliana does a nice job. She puts nice energy into it and doesn’t look uncomfortable at all about taking it in the ass. It feels a little more professional than many of Luc’s scenes, which normally have a very nice and very natural feel to them, but Juliana has done quite a few movies which probably makes the difference.

Scene 4 - Red Heaven and Kris Slater

Red and Kris team up to give Luc their very first scene ever. They talk about their personal sex life before Red softly sucks Kris’ cock while she plays with her pussy. They head inside for Kris to eat Red’s pussy before he slowly fucks it from behind. They continue to gently fuck through missionary and cowgirl with plenty of kissing and caressing while Red moans softly through it all. This is a great scene! It’s all chemistry and no acrobatics and seems like the ideal Luc Wylder scene. Red plays to the camera a little at first, but that quickly falls by the wayside as she gets into it. You can tell that Kris and Red are really into each other, and Luc captures what feels like natural lovemaking extraordinarily well. He mixes up the angles and captures it nicely, and the camera work doesn’t seem like it’d be easy because there’s plenty of cuddling between Red and Kris.

Scene 5 - Mandy Bright and David Chase

Michigan native Mandy starts things out introducing David and talking about going to school to be a dental assistant, moving through the airline industry, and ending up in porn pretty much by accident. Naturally they start out with some nice kissing and heavy petting before David dutifully mouths Mandy’s muff. Mandy sucks him in reciprocation before letting him work her through most of the standard positions. David finally finishes things up with a decent pop on Melanie’s stomach.

I’ve watched Mandy in a few scenes before this, and she always does a decent job. This scene is no different. She’s extremely cute and although she doesn’t get overly energetic or anything, she puts out a realistic fuck that she appears to get into nicely.

Scene 6 - Melanie Jagger and Steve Holmes

Melanie talks a little about dancing and mixing things up sexually with Luc while Steve runs his hands across her body in eager anticipation. Steve kisses her tits briefly before she attacks him orally and tit fucks him at his request. Steve has her lie back on the couch so his tongue can worship her twat, and then slides behind her to spoon it. This is a ball-drainer of a scene! There isn’t any of the nastiness that Melanie and Steve have both shown they’re more than capable of, but that’s about the only thing that isn’t here. It’s obvious that they’re completely into each other and aren’t holding anything back, and do a great job of showing that a vaginal sex scene, which many people think of as a ‘couples scene’, doesn’t have to be dull and boring. This is an excellent scene to finish things up with and shows why Melanie is so deserving of every bit of notice she gets and why Steve Holmes is considered one of the top male performers in the industry right now!

Once again, Luc Wylder hits pay dirt with his Amateur Angels series. The final scene is easily one of the best scenes I’ve watched in this series, and most of the others are very good too. Perhaps the best thing about this episode is the variety of scenes, as there’s most everything a person can want here that only includes two people. There’s soft and sensual sex, intense sex, lesbians, and anal. Best of all, the sex feels natural and realistic in almost every one of those scenes even with all of the variety. Mandy Bright might have the weakest scene, and that’s due to the audio rather than anything happening between her and her partner. Amateur Angels 7 is a great addition to the series that’s well worth checking out!

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about five and a half minutes with roughly eight seconds per nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. Bios are included for each of the ladies in the feature. You get some nice personal information, but in what probably seemed like a good idea on paper, you’re shown a small clip of the star in action before cutting to the bio page, and you can’t fast forward to the bio and you have to flip through each bio rather than jumping directly to the bio of the star you want to see. Trailers are included for Adult Stars at Home and Sex Across America Eighth Stop: Seattle. There’s also web links, a few minor setup things, and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts over thirty five minutes! It captures a bit of every scene in the movie. You get a nice mix of the still photos being shot, the sex being shot, the girls getting made up, and the cast between takes. You even get a little of Luc working with the cast to get things how they want and a little assorted wackiness. It’s a very nice behind the scenes featurette that’s well worth checking out if you enjoyed the movie.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, much of the Amateur Angels series can be found online for between $13 and $22 with a few stores offering it near the low end. Don’t even think twice about this one at the low end! There’s some hot and nicely varied sex here, good technical aspects, and a nice behind the scenes featurette. This is one of the best installments of this series yet!

Note to Fallen Angel / Adam & Eve: It’s great to see you mixing things up a bit sexually! Now can we mix up the pop shots a little to include a facial now and then? I know they’re overused, but the best explanation I’ve heard of where the pop should go is that it should go on the girl’s best feature.
