Amateur Anal Attempts 13 Review

For some time now, I have wanted to check out some of the titles from Homegrown Video, especially volumes of this series. In looking through the list, several feature women who could not really be considered "amateurs" in the area of anal action, such as Bree Olsen, Amber Rayne and Mia Bangg, but there is also a healthy mix of girls who are certainly of the "next door" variety, willing to challenge the pros with their respective performances. As far as I know, this volume does not feature any established stars, instead running the gamut from the young and perky Carmen Minor to the almost 40 but very sultry Anne.

The opening scene is with small-boned and alluring Carmen Minor, outfitted as a cheerleader and stating that the only penetrative sex she can engage in is anal. True or false? Judging by her performance and reaction afterwards to this being her first time at this, it could certainly be true. Either way, I'm not a fan of watching sex when it's uncomfortable for the girl so this scene kinda lost it for me. Carmen Minor is quite cute, although I am also not into the "barely legal" niche either, but the performance and chemistry is lacking, from the tease to the oral to the anal. She keeps the cheerleading outfit on for the entirety, probably to help the fantasy along, and the pop shot is on her boobs.

The ensuing scene features Shorty, a perky, odd-looking but nevertheless cute redhead with a few more pounds around the mid-section, something I actually love to see on a woman. Her scene opens with a chat, as they each do, where she and the cameraman talk about this being her first time on film and it was something she thought would be fun. Toys are brought out for play, while oral action for the fella starts it all off. She provides a more enthusiastic performance than Carmen Minor, keeping most of her clothes on for the scene to boot, which I know some fans love to see. Vaginal missionary and doggie follows before the anal, then this action moves into spoon-ish position, doggie and missionary, the latter with the addition of a vibrator. Too often the camera angles don't give the best, widest view of the couple in action or Shorty's face, but overall it was decent, although as with the previous scene, she does not appear as comfortable with ass play, leading to some awkwardness.

The final two scenes feature anal with two women who seem to know what they are doing, even if it has not been on camera. Alexandria Starr is a slim, attractive brunette and it was at this point I realized that the age of the ladies was increasing as the disc progressed. A lengthy and fun sequence, this features plenty of oral, vaginal and anal, the latter in many positions missionary, doggie, RCA and piledriver. This is only scene where the woman actually loses all of her clothes, surprisingly!

And last but not least is Anne, in what turns out to be my favorite portion of the disc. Maybe because she is the oldest of the cast, late 30's it seems, has lovely natural curves and an adorably cute pixie haircut, but probably also because I enjoyed watching her genuine eagerness and charming screen presence during the scene. She keeps on her lovely spring dress during the following action, which opens with casual conversation, her showing off her assets, a blow job, then some vaginal toy play before the main course of anal begins. The backdoor plugging is featured in doggie and missionary, partially shot as we watch Anne's face only, which I thought was a nice touch. Afterwards Anne jerks the man to his finish for the climax.

Extras include a bloopers reel and a very extensive set of trailers for other Homegrown Video releases. All in all, in a mixed bag which held more promise for me than it was able to successfully deliver. The first scenes featured more awkwardness for me than genuine arousal, while the latter two scenes were almost able to make up for this in their winning aspects. Obviously I have yet to judge any of the other volumes or the performances of the pros vs amateurs on display there, but I wonder if maybe I am someone who might be a "pros only" sort of fan!
