Synopsis:
In the continuing adventures of 18-and-horny Amanda, still as uninhibited and promiscuous as ever, continues her sexual adventures by toting along her camcorder and friends for erotic adventures.

Video/Audio:
Amanda's Diary 2 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which may not be the original aspect ratio for the film. The picture for the film is good with no artifacts or blemishes present. The color levels are set well.

The original audio track for the film is a 2.0 French Stereo track, which sounds like your average adult film stereo track. The audio track that I used for viewing the film is the 2.0 English Stereo dub track. There was nothing special to the track but it was more than adequate for the needs of the film. The dialog can be heard above the music at all times. Other available audio tracks are a 2.0 German Stereo dub track, a 2.0 Spanish Stereo dub track and a 2.0 Italian Stereo dub track and the available subtitle options are Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Portuguese and Polish.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are four chapters available from the main menu which allows for some navigation through the film, not much though. There should have been, at bare minimum, twice this amount. There is a time code for this feature, so time searching is available.

Special Features:
The extras for the film are mostly throw away, but there are a few good ones included. A nice extra is the trailer for Amanda's Diary 2 in widescreen. Amanda's Diary Report is a seven minute making of the film feature that has a combination English/French track where the portions that are in French do have English subtitles. Cast features text info and a Magazine, VHS and DVD filmography for Kate Moore, Katy, Monic, Nicol and Ursula Moore. The Photobook contains 25 photos from the film that you have to flip yourself. Production Notes are some text notes, mostly promotional, regarding the film. Trailers for Other Titles included are: Superfuckers 9, Amanda's Diary 3, Arrowhead, Matador 14: Anal Psycho-Analysis, and Triple X Files 6.

DVD-ROM Special Features:
The DVD-ROM extras are an Internet Activated DVD Catalog and a PC Bonus. Since I have no DVD-ROM drive, no more information on these extras is available.

Review:
Amanda's Diary 2, basically an all sex film, is a recent release from the European company Private. There is a skimpy story to the film, which exists mostly to tie the film in with the other films in the series, so there is nothing in it that you actually have to follow. Or listen to for that matter, which is a good thing since the English dub track, as with the English dub tracks on the other Private titles that I have seen, is very poorly done. There are a few ridiculous moments in the film, but they don't interfere with the overall enjoyment. The film also contains no true beginning or ending. I assume that the first film, Amanda's Diary, contains the beginning for the film and that quite possibly the last film in the series, Amanda's Diary 5, may contain the ending.

The cast is very good looking and seems to be having fun with each other. It is a pleasant change to see women natural in appearance in a film as compared to the enhanced bodies seen far too often in the American blue movie. The sex is well done, but might be too nasty for couples due to the anal scenes and may not be nasty enough to please the fans of really nasty sex. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with some lesbian action thrown in. There is some variety to the scenes that keep them from getting monotonous.

Most of the locations used in the film look great and add to the mood created by the film albeit a few of the sets were poorly picked though. For instance, the restaurant kitchen set doesn't resemble a kitchen that could support a restaurant and threw off the mood in that scene. I may be slightly more picky than some people are but I hate it when an obviously poor set is used. This happens very seldom in the film though so it isn't of major concern. The few problems that are present in the film don't detract from this being a very fun film to watch.

One complaint that I have regarding the entire Amanda's Diary line is the disc boxes don't indicate what number in the series the film is. All the boxes have different pictures, but you have to stick the disc in your player to find out which number it really is, unless you can remember which pictures correspond to which film.

The Money Shot:
Overall, Amanda's Diary 2 is a decent film that can easily be enjoyed without watching any of the other films in the series. The sex may be nastier than some people will like but should please those who have a broad range of tastes. Those who enjoy the Private line of films will definitely be pleased with this outing. Those who need a plot with their porn will definitely want to avoid this title. If the film sounds good to you then I recommend renting or purchasing.
