Before Viewing Expectations:
The writeup tells of an 18 year old, Amanda, who gets a camera for her birthday, as well as a dildo. She films all of her escapades after that, including her sexual awakening. She shares some dildo delights with Hanna, the friend who gave it to her, as well as Hanna's boyfriend, Alex. There are four photos on the back, which only show a glimpse of the action as well as a list of the extras. It lists five audio track languages and six different subtitle languages. It is very clearly an European production, so I suspect the audio track will be a dub.

The Action:
Before getting to the action, there are FBI styled warning given in the native language of 26 different countries. This is followed by an ad for the Private website. While this one can be skipped, I still find these types of ads annoying.

Once the movie starts, it says this is Chapter One. Chapter Two doesn't appear in this movie, so one must assume that is reserved for the sequel. The opening scene is narrated by Amanda as friends are arriving to her birthday party. She says she is no longer a virgin and is enjoying the camera she received at an earlier party. The guests have her open a gift, which is the camera she just said she already had. I think something got lost in the translation somewhere. Anyhow, she is told not to open the other box until after the party. Suddenly, everyone says it is late, and they all leave, party over. Amanda opens the box and finds a large red jelly dildo in the box. We find her laying on a bed masturbating herself and looking in a handheld mirror. She calls Hanna, the friend who gave her the dildo and asks her what to do with it. Hanna pulls out her own didlo and they both engage in some phone sex while Amanda learns how to use the dildo. As the dildo slides in for the first time, she says "I feel like such a woman now!". She starts to dream, and the dildo is replaced by a stiff, condomed cock pounding away in her snatch. Back to reality, Amanda starts to suck the dildo, and she dreams it is a cock which cums in her mouth as she's blowing him.

The next day (I think) we see a couple drinking wine in a cafe. Hanna, Amanda, and a female friend arrive at the cafe. Amanda is smitted by the guy, and starts to film him. They make quite a production out of it, and the guy notices. There's a bit of flirting before the couple leaves, but they forget their lighter. Amanda picks it up as they leave the cafe. That night, the lighter is on her nightstand, and she is having trouble sleeping. Every time she doses off, she dreams of the couple. She gets up to get something to drink and can "see" the couple having sex, both oral and cowgirl style. Amanda falls asleep and dreams of blowing the guy. We then this in her dream, which is followed by him pounding into her, without a condom. The woman from the couple joins the action and gets a taste of Amanda's tits. The girl licks Amanda's clit while the guy thrusts his rod in her slit. They switch to a doggy style position and cums into the girls mouth as she's blowing him.

The next morning, Amanda seems a bit freaked out by her dream, so she packs up her dildo and heads over to Hanna's place. She does, however, forget to take the camera that she's supposed to use to record her sexual adventures. I suppose we're supposed to over look that little tidbit of the plot. Hanna uses the dildo on Amanda then fingers and licks her. Amanda returns the favor they they get into some clit grinding. Hanna's boyfriend Mark (Mark?!? The case said Alex, guess he got dumped) calls and says he is near by if she wants him to stop by. She says sure, but doesn't mention that Amanda is there. While waiting for Mark, they get into some 69 dildo action. Right before he arrives, they take care of themselves with some solo dildo play. He knocks, Hanns says come in and he sees the two girls, legs spread, on the bed. His comment is "Oh, are there two of you?". Again, something got lost in the translation. They switch around several times, the three of them having a grand ol love fest. They conclude with a manual money shot on both the faces of both girls.

Next we follow Amanda and her friend Maria as they board a train. Amanda films (hey, she remembered the camera this time!) the scenery and the passengers. They hang with one guy from the train as the camera follows another couple leaving the train. All five end up at the same part, where we see the couple getting cozy on the grass. The three ask what they are up to, and the guys responds that spring in the park is the best time for sex, why not join us. They steal a blanket, and the five of them have an orgy in the park. Many positions later, including a DP, one of the guys gets a hand job until he comes into the mouth of the girl stroking him. The other guy is brought to orgasm also by a hand job and he shoots cum all over the faces of the other two girls.

Audio, Video and Extras:
The audio was dubbed, just as I suspected it would be. While not bad, it can be a bit distracting when the words don't match the movement of the lips. I find this a tad annoying, your opinions may vary. There is a pretty good soundtrack to this movie, but it did tend to repeat a bit, and at times, the dialogue was lost under the music. Otherwise, for a dub track, it wasn't bad. The video was always clean, sharp and the camera work was top notch. Good lighting was used, as well as camera angles to draw the viewer into the action. Very well done. In additon to the language and subtitle tracks, there was a trailer for the movie and a report. The report was a behind the scenes making of featurette type of thing. It did show some scenes which aren't in this movie, I suspect they are in Amanda's Diary 2. The standard cast bios and photo gallery, user controlled, were present. Production notes, a synopsis of the movie, and 5 previews rounded out the list of extras. As I started writing this review, I noticed the case said "PC Bonus", so I popped it in to see what else was there. There are some wallpapers for your desktop as well as a screen saver. The wallpaper isn't bad, it is rated R. I couldn't get the screensaver to work on my XP Pro box so I can't comment on it. There are also some local web pages for many of the movies done by Private. There is a brief writeup on each one, as well as four or so still shots from the film. I was unable to find the music tracks from the soundtrack despite the case saying the soundtrack was "free of rights".

Conclusion:
A very well done movie, very erotic, very artful, and beautiful women. The plot is a bit thin in spots, and the dubbed audio track is a bit of an annoyance, but these aren't enough to disuade one from picking up this movie. I really enjoyed this movie, and I think you will too.
