Audio /Video Quality:
The technical aspects are fantastic. The audio is extremely clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice anything close to a background noise. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks amazing. In addition to having a clear picture and a solid hand on the camera, the lighting shows a tremendous amount of care and really adds to the art direction of the movie.
Borderline False Advertising:
The boxcover mentions BTS among the special features, but it's included in the final credits rather than as an extra. This is really pushing the cover credits for me, and as BTS mixed in the closing credits makes it part of the movie while the boxcover makes it look like it's included as a special feature. Behind the scenes clips being worked into the closing credits are fairly common with Mason's movies, so I hope this claim gets dropped from the boxcover in future Hard X releases.
The Movie:
Allie starts the movie talking about her personal journey through the five years she's been in porn, and how she never did anal before now because she never felt ready for it and now does. Despite hearing great things about this movie and what Mason's been doing recently, going into Allie I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Long story short, I was blown away by Allie and if this movie isn't on a heck of a lot of award nominations list come award season there's either no justice in the world or porn fans are going to be very, very, very, very lucky for the next few months. Everything about this release worked amazingly well for me. Allie's interviews are completely natural and there's nothing about them that doesn't feel like they're coming completely from the heart. The more I heard her talk in between sex scenes, the bigger of a fan I became of her. As great as Allie's chatting is, the sex completely blows it out of the water. Allie states that she finally felt comfortable with anal and never dreamed it would satisfy or please her like it did, and it shows from start to finish. The sex is as primal as the chats are heartfelt, and that really takes this one over the top. She doesn't start things slow or cuddly with James, and never slows down. There's a great fetish aspect to her scene with Manuel and Adriana, and I was amazed at how well she took on Lex's huge cock. The real highlight for me, however, was the final scene. I love the Robert Rodriguez El Mariachi vibe going through the scene right down to the background music. Mason's art direction was top notch throughout the movie, but she really outdid herself with the final scene.
