Initial Expectations: The one scene I’ve already seen from this one didn’t do much for me, so I’m not expecting too much.

Initial Reaction: It’s okay, but is held back by Adam & Eve’s recurring audio problems.

Who Should Watch It : Rave fans and people who like shiny objects and lights

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants high technical aspects and well balanced camera work

Audio /Video Quality: As seems to be happening more and more often in Adam & Eve’s releases, the audio is on the low side so you’re going to have to crank your speakers up if you want to hear anything halfway decent. I had my volume turned all the way up just to get it to a level a little lower than what I normally like. It seems fairly well balanced, but when you have to crank things up to this point, it’s hard to tell. The video is also problematic. No, there aren’t a lot of undue shadows or anything like that, it’s the actual format. The movie opens with a disclaimer that the feature was altered from it’s original format and made to fit your screen. Well, I guess that’s true unless you have a widescreen TV. Rather than give the feature the anamorphic transfer it deserves to preserve the original aspect ratio, the movie feels like it was crammed into the standard 1.33 ratio. It isn’t crammed so bad that people like Ed Powers would look like Lurch from the Addams Family, if he was in the feature, but it is enough to make you realize that something doesn’t look right. I’m sure if you had a few beers, or maybe something else, this might look just about right, but for anybody watching this without the aid of extra chemicals might be a little upset.

Music: Saint provides the music, which is not much of a surprise in a Nicholas Steele movie. It’s a little loud, but fits the feature very well with a techno - rave feel rather than has more standard new age feel. Personally I enjoy the New age feel better, but it does fit well into the movie and continues to show why Saint is one of the best in the adult business for music.

Menus: The main menu actually looks pretty nice and shows a bit of care. The chapter menu also shows some care. It lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene and a performer listing, as well as letting you choose between the start of the scene and the pop shot.

The Feature: All the Rave looks at Chandler, one of the top rave Djs, and how she got where she is with Dillion Day, who used to be the numero uno rave DJ. Dillion isn’t happy about Rebecca’s rise, since he apparently helped get her started, and wants back on top. The segments on Rebecca are normally done like they’re a documentary on her, such as Behind the Music, while the other segments are just like any other movie. Beyond that, it doesn’t really seem to go anywhere.

After dancing in front of him for a while, Dillion Day brings Chandler off the floor and into the back room. Chandler is extremely cute here, with a nice tight body and her hair in little girl braids. They talk a bit before getting down to business, with Chandler stripping Dillion down and kissing her way across his newly exposed flesh. She gives him along blowjob, while letting both of her hands help her out, and some nice eye contact along with it. He returns the favor by setting her on his table next to his lava lamp and eating her bald pussy before rolling her over to spear her from behind. She rolls over and takes Dillion in her ass while working on her pussy with a pocket rocket. As usual, Chandler is extremely vocal and squeaky, which made me glad there was music to cover her up. Dillion ends things spraying his spooge all over Chandler’s stomach. It’s a pretty good scene, but the camera seemed a little off for me. There were very few shots where you could see both the penetration and Chandler’s face, which is a shot I really like.

Dale DaBone jumps in the pool with blonde Sharon Wild next. They swim around a little before Sharon hops out of the pool so Dale can lick and eat her pussy. She returns the favor with a little rubbernecking and takes Dale partially down her throat. Sharon moves back on the edge for Dale to fuck her missionary style before they both hop out for a bit of reverse cowgirl and doggie. Sharon ends things with a nice facial from Dale, and gets right in there to make she nothing got left behind. It’s a pretty good scene, but once again, I was having a few problems since I didn’t care for many of the camera angles. They seemed to be either long distance shots or close-ups with few in between shots.

Kelsey makes a little music with Dillion Day as strobe lights flash around them in his house next. She starts out giving Dillion a nice sloppy blowjob and working his prick with her pierced tongue, and then lays back on his couch so he can tongue both her holes. Kelsey starts out fucking Dillion in the mandatory reverse cowgirl, and then showing her butt slut tendencies, lets him fuck her ass from behind and spooning her. Dillion finishes things off with an impressive facial that Kelsey takes with her typical great style. It’s a hot scene and one that should disappoint any of Kelsey’s fans. She puts some nice energy into the scene, and gets into Dillion stretching her sphincter very well.

Evan Stone, Joey Ray, Amber Michaels, Paige Sinclair, Kelsey, and Miss Kitty get busy on the floor next. It starts out with some nice oral sex, with three of the girls going down and the guys and one of the girls receiving, and then switches around so the girls can get some attention. There isn’t any swapping when it comes to the fucking, but everybody does make their way through a few positions before Kelsey and another of the girls take a facial finish. This scene didn’t really do anything for me. The camera seemed all over the place, which I admit is something that sometimes needs to be done with large group scenes, but it flashed around so much that I had trouble seeing who was who and who was fucking who. It wasn’t helped by the flashing lights, which started to give me a headache over the twenty minutes the scene runs.

Kelle Marie watches Swan and Michelle Louise during a bathroom break. Michelle comes over and draws Kelle in so they can work on Swan, and also breaks out a toy for them to play with. The girls move around to take care of each other, and then break out dildos so they can finish themselves off. It’s an okay lesbian scene with some pretty images, but nothing that really stood out in any way for me.

Finally, Chandler gets down with Dale DaBone behind his DJ booth. She starts things off sucking Dale’s cock, including Dale doing push-ups over her open mouth. He doesn’t bother to warm her up before he starts pumping her pussy with people dancing on the floor in front of them. They start out in missionary and move into reverse cowgirl and doggie. Chandler seems to get into being fucked pretty well, but with the lights flashing around them and all the cuts between them and the dance floor it is kind of hard to tell. Dale finally pulls out and decorates Chandler’s ass once he can find a spot not covered with ink. It’s an okay scene, that has some good cinematography. Unfortunately, it also feels a little claustrophobic, as Chandler’s head often goes off screen while she’s fucking Dale as if the camera can’t get far enough away to capture all of what’s going on.

All the Rave is a decent idea that isn’t executed too bad. Nicholas Steele seems to do a good job of capturing the club feel and blending it with the sex. Unfortunately, quite a bit of the camera work feels a bit claustrophobic and frequently cuts body parts off people. The plot appears to have been scripted on the back of a matchbook, or possibly even a matchstick. It starts out okay but never seems to go anywhere. The sex is pretty average, with no scene really standing out far above the others. Kelsey stands out as the top scene here, in her pairing with Dillion Day, but even that isn’t much above average. I’ve never been too interested in the club scene, so I might not be the best person to get into this feature, but from the limited experience I’ve had there, I’m sure club fans will appreciate it much more than I did. All the Rave isn’t a bad feature, although a fair amount of Adam & Eve’s execution of it is.

Extras: The photo gallery is arranged in the thumbnail format, and contains over sixty photos. When you choose a thumbnail, you blow it up to near-full screen size which also includes a label as to who the talent in the scene is. Bois are included for Amber Michaels, Chandler, Dale DaBone, Evan Stone, Joey Ray, Kellemarie, Kelsey, Miss Kitty, Michelle Louise, Paige Sinclair, and Swan. Each bio includes a very little bit of information, a still of the star, and a link to action shots. The bonus scene comes from Chloe’s Acting Up and stars Ian Daniels and Maren Beautte, after a long lead-in. Maren takes a shower to get clean and then comes out so Ian can make her dirty again. Ian offers her his cock to suck on and work over with her pierced tongue before sliding his tongue around between her legs. Once again, the fucking starts with reverse cowgirl, but moves on to missionary with Maren spanking Ian to get him to fuck her faster. She finishes it up with a fair pop on and around her face. This is a pretty average scene that might satisfy some people, but had me more than a little bored.

Finally, there’s a behind the scenes featurette which lasts about twenty minutes. There’s a few short interviews with Chandler, Miss Kitty, Kelsey, Swan, Kelle Marie, and some of the crew, as well as a bit of Evan Stone screwing around for the camera. Dillion Day gives a very nice interview, and talks about the movie, the industry, and even a little of how politics was affecting the adult industry. Unfortunately, most of the behind the scenes concentrates on the people dancing in the club and the disco ball, and you never get to hear from people such as director Nicholas Steele. It’s a very average behind the scenes, and you’re not going to be out anything if you skip it.

Raincoat Factor: Medium high

Overall: Most of Adam & Eve’s Premium Collection titles can normally be found for between about $15 and $25 with many stores offering them for around $20. Unless you’re a big rave fan, rent this one first. The movie is pretty good, but the audio is so weak that I don’t know if you’re going to get much replay out of it. There’s quite a few extras, but none of them really stand out as being that good.

Note to Adam & Eve: To start with, please change the cases you use for your DVDs. They’re so cheap and hold the DVDs so loosely that they’ve come off the center when I just bumped it off the table onto the floor. I have yet to have one make it through the mail on the center. If you have to charge an extra fifty cents or buck to make up for it, most people should be fine with this as it’s better than having damaged DVDs. A year ago your Premium Collection titles were getting right up there with releases from Wicked and VCA, and then all at once your quality has started to drop. I can only think you’re having somebody else do the work since you went from consistently high all around with your early Premium Collection releases to a decent idea with poor execution over the last six months or so. I’m guessing this was a cost cutting move, and if so, it appears to be a pretty boneheaded one. You’ve went from competing with the top dogs such as Wicked and VCA to appearing that you want to be a step or two above Leisure Time due to your consistent problems that look like they’re from little or no quality control and a lack of care. I’d like to be able to recommend your newer DVDs to couples again. Please do something decent with your DVDs rather than thinking a bonus scene or two on each DVD will make the customer forget about all the other problems you’re showing. They are a nice bonus, but they aren’t why people buy DVDs.
