The Little Details

NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced throughout the movie, and the only problems that I heard were a some of the noises from handling the camera. The video is presented in the full frame format, and also looks great. There's a few shadows and a little pixelation, but this is one heck of a great looking and sounding homemade movie.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower right corner. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didn’t notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six clips from the movie.

The Feature

Scene 1 – Aliah Aldamen

Scene 2 – Aliah Aldamen and Jack

Aliah and Jack chat around the pool table as Aliah talks about not being able to hold the cue the right way being left handed. Aliah plays around the table, and after she puts all of the balls away comments on how the table's nice and open. At the same time, there's some great shots of Aliah's ass and I love the chemistry between Aliah and Jack enough that it didn't hold back the scene that much. This is another nicely done scene.

Scene 3 - Aliah Aldamen, McKenzie, and Jack

Aliah shows up with new friend McKenzie, a dirty blonde with a few tattoos and a pierced tongue, in a black bra and panties, and lets Jack know that they were talking about his cock and she wanted to see it. She comes over to help Jack out of his pants, and he quickly leans how cold both their hands are as she comments on it being a little less than what he was telling McKenzie about. Not surprisingly, this is another fun scene. There's a great balance between the girls and it moves along at a nice pace that never lets the scene fall into the rut that so many oral scenes do for me. This is another very enjoyable scene.

Scene 4 - Aliah Aldamen and Jack

Aliah and Jack chat on the back patio, where Aliah strips down before remembering that the lawn guy is still around and quickly getting dressed again. Aliah lets Jack know that she's decided to give him a handjob, and positions herself so that the lawn guy can't see what's going on too much if he comes by. This is a nice handjob scene. Aliah is cute as ever and the chemistry and spirit is as fun as ever. This is a pretty short scene, but at the same time it feels very natural in its length. This is a fun little scene.

Scene 5 - Aliah Aldamen

This is another short and sweet scene. Jack's not around this time, but Aliah manages to work the camera very well with this scene. There's just a little tease and talk to lead into the action, and you can tell that Aliah wants to save a little for when Jack gets home. This is a nice little hint of things to come (as well as cum), and it breaks up the movie nicely.

Scene 6 – Aliah Aldamen and Jack

Jack finds Aliah in a white wifebeater and jean shorts laying on the bed before they play around and Jack's boxers end up on her head. I was a little surprised there wasn't any fucking her, but once again, the scene is satisfying enough as it is that it's hard to get down on it when it doesn't give you quite what you expect. This is a very enjoyable final scene.

Aliah and Jack 2 is another great release from a very fun couple. On paper I'll readily admit that this one would have me ready to be disappointed sexually. I'm not a big fan of oral or handjob scenes, and that's half of the movie here. What makes it all work is the personalities of Aliah and Jack. Granted, it doesn't hurt that Aliah is cute as can be with a great ass, but it's the playfulness that comes out between her and Jack that makes it work. The camera always seems like it's the greatest sex toy ever in each scene and it brings something out of them that's next to impossible not to like. It also helps that they've put the care into the camera to actually learn how to use it, which is more than I can say about some professional porn people let alone the ones making home movies like you find at Shot at Home. If you're looking for nastiness or anything like that, you're not going to find much of anything to interest you here, but if you want care, both for the people in the movie as well as the technical things about the movie itself, then there's plenty to like about Aliah and Jack 2. Even with a few minor things not working for me due to the pace of the scenes and the larger focus on oral sex I can't help but strongly recommend this one.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Shot at Home's DVDs can be found on their website for around $20. If you want chemistry and playfulness, this one should be well worth your money. The action is a little focused on the oral side of things, but there's such great chemistry throughout the movie that I can't help but like it. The technical aspects also show some nice care, and as usual with Shot at Home, you get a little care in the extras as well. This is a great homemade DVD release.

Note to Shot at Home: I hope you encourage Aliah and Jack to make many more movies! With the playfulness about them, a Shot at Home Alone release with Aliah would also be great to see!
