The Little Details

NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies dont have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. Im rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also arent normally the glamour stars one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as its often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesnt have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced throughout the movie, and the only problems that I heard were a some of the noises from handling the camera. The video is presented in the full frame format, and also looks great. There's a few shadows and a little pixelation, but this is easily one of the best looking homemade moves I've seen.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally dont bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower right corner. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didnt notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Homes usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six clips from the movie.

The Feature

Scene 1 - Aliah Aldamen

This is a great porn debut from Aliah and Jack. Aliah is darn hot and there's no denying that she and Jack are having a great time with how many smiles and laughs come out throughout the movie. Although I normally like more than one scene with fucking in a movie, I do really like how they mix things up throughout the movie. There's a great balance there with Jack getting a couple scenes all about him, Aliah getting a couple scenes all about her, and one where they can make it all about them. The other thing that's really impressive is how much care goes into the camera work. Jack does a great job with it most of the time, and when Aliah gets behind the lens she also does a very nice job. Heck, they even manage to put it down on their shag carpet fucking in front of mirrored closet doors and have it work right. In all seriousness, the biggest complaint I can come up with one this one is that there's only one scene with Aliah and Jack fucking, and even that isn't really a complaint with how they work the sex around the movie. Aliah and Jack 1 is a great homemade release, and I can only hope that they share a lot more of their home movies with Shot at Home!

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Shot at Home's DVDs can be found on their website for around $20. This one's well worth the money. Aliah is cute and hot as can be and has great chemistry with Jack. It's obvious they're having a lot of fun throughout the movie, and they both handle the camera very well. Throw in technical aspects that show plenty of care and the usual Shot at Home preview reel and you have a homemade movie that's a lot more fun than more mainstream releases on a DVD that shows as much or more care than a lot of mainstream porn releases.
