Prior to this DVD, my exposure to interactive sex simulators was all on CD-ROM. That sort of sucks when your computer is in a home office next to a very big window. So I found it quite refreshing to be able to take this particular simulator out of the computer area and watch it in the living room. And who better to show off the joy of "Fantasex" than Kylie Ireland?

Make no mistake, this DVD is basically all about Kylie and "you". Well, since you can’t really be in this one, Kylie has to work with the cameraman. There are a few bonus scenes from her movies, but for the most part this is all original video.

The story setup is this: The lovely Kylie Ireland has decided to have an "affair" with you. Of course there’s no explanation why she has decided to have this "affair". She just does. Now you have to catch up with her.

Now the good news is that if you don’t want to go through the long and complicated process of keeping up with Kylie, then you can go ahead and just go to the "Fantasex" portion. You can even take part in a "fantasy date", which is basically her talking about herself and about being in the industry, all of which is being done in a nice restaurant setting. There’s no sex involved here… not even a trace of nudity. Just a relaxing time with the two of you as she’s talking and… hey, are "your" eyes wandering? Yeah, even the guy playing "you" finds this part boring and just wants to get to the screwing.

The "affair" game works like this: for each scene that is played, there are four options you can take via your remote or keyboard keys. You can go up, down, right or left. Each movement takes you to another scene. If you’re lucky, that scene will have Kylie in it. If you’re not, then it’s a scene of her leaving some sort of message that you JUST missed her. Keep it up and at some point you’ll be able to unlock some of the extra goodies in the program. It might be her doing a little phone sex… or maybe a little self-gratification in a convertible… or a little girl-girl action in the office… or even a quickie in a bathroom.

I have yet to see if there is any pattern to unlocking certain goodies or if it’s all random. All I know is that certain goodies, such as her doing a striptease, will take you right into Fantasex.

Okay, on to the Fantasex itself…

The really good part about Fantasex is that you can control the music and the intensity. The background also changes with the intensity. About the only thing you can’t change is that really weird bed or couch or whatever that is you’re both on.

There is no actual disrobing in Fantasex. Remember that earlier striptease? That was it. Maybe in future versions there could be a feature that allows "you" to disrobe the lovely lady. Hey, that’s just as much of foreplay to some people as the rest of the stuff.

The actual "sex" itself is pretty good. Kylie is not a screamer, but she is certainly not quiet about letting "you" know when she’s about to climax in certain positions. You can change positions and intensity at any time, both through the on-screen options and through the number buttons on the remote. Each scene will repeat itself until you move to the next position or until you hit the "cum" button. The cum scenes vary depending on the last position you were on, so if you were doing oral, then you’d get a face pop. If you do anal, then it’s an external pussy pop.

The sad part is that there’s no post-sex talk. There’s no scene where she’s telling you how good the sex was and asking if you want to go at it again. You just go back to the main menu. Again, maybe that’s something that could be explored in future versions.

Now… if constantly changing positions through the remote is not your thing, then go back to the main menu, and in the settings section there’s this little thing called "Autoplay" which does a complete scene from foreplay to climax. I find this feature to be a definite turn-on, and I hope VCA Interactive keeps it for future versions.

All in all, though, this is a very good interactive DVD, and certainly one to get if you’re a fan of the lovely Kylie. The video and audio quality are both excellent, and aside from getting lost in the "affair" portion, the interactive features are very much user-friendly. It is definitely worth buying.
