What You Need to Know: Although Adam & Eve's Guide to Bondage puts itself forward as a new release, it's actually a four scene compilation with discussions on bondage and bondage techniques from the movies (in the case of the two Nina Hartley's Guide releases) or the behind the scenes (for the Perfect Secretary: Training Day scene) leading into three of the four scenes. As usual with Adam & Eve's compilations, the players in each scene along with the source of the scene are nicely identified at the start of each scene, and the sex has some very nice bondage and fetish action. That said, this being a compilation instead of a new release left me more than a little upset. Yes, the scenes and the bondage discussions are nicely done with some good instructional material as well as hot sex scenes to follow it up, but this is put forward as an original release rather than a compilation. Adam & Eve has the disgusting habit of listing somebody as a director on their compilations, which not only confuses the issue for some people, but it also takes the credit away from the person who really did the work for the movie. I can understand that in a four hour compilations listing all of the directors could be a pain, but in the case of this release there isn't a single moment in the movie that wasn't directed by Ernest Greene. With the easy money that can be made from a compilation release and the number of great instructional releases Nina Hartley has put out regarding bondage along with some of the other bondage related features Adam & Eve has put out over the last few years I can definitely understand Adam & Eve wanting to put out a release such as this especially with some of the interest in the subject. That said, releasing it like this where it's not clear that this is a compilation is at best deceptive and more like trying to screw the consumer into double dipping for something they may already have. For that reason, even though Adam & Eve's Guide to Bondage is a nicely done release, I can't help but recommend people to only rent it or to just pass it by as I can't support a release as misleading and deceptive as this.

Verdict: Although the sex scenes and instruction are well done here, I can't think of this as even being an average release with how deceptively it's put forward. Beyond that, if you're looking for something new, skip it. If you're curious about bondage play and want a nice and easy compilation about it, this is worth a rental.

Note to Adam & Eve: If you're going to release a compilation, please make it apparent rather than trying to hide it including taking credit away from the people who made the content to give it to somebody else.
