Here's how Seven The Hard Way 2 adds up: three scenes, three girls, and seven guys per girl. It's gangbang action all the way in a Vince Vouyer production that I suspect genre connoisseurs may appreciate more than I do. My main reason for viewing is the voluptuous English starlet Alicia Rhodes, especially after her contribution to Nacho's Back 2 Evil, but will I find any more to interest me than her appearance? I usually note what goes on in a movie, but I found myself writing the same things about each scene. So, given that there's actually so little difference between what happens from scene to scene, I am going to break from my usual style and just give a general rundown. Apologies for less detail, but it feels in keeping with the style of the movie. Inspired? I don't think so. Let's get it on… Each scene kicks off differently (Alicia sells herself to the camera in no uncertain terms, Jackie suffers the usual "age of first sexual experience" interview with a sweet smile and a twinkle in her piercing blue eyes, Angel teases while trotting out her well-worn dirty talk routine) but then it all follows something of a pattern. Seven guys surround the lone girl; she goes round all the cocks, sucking each in turn and progressing into harder, deeper oral action, often with turns being taken at fucking the girls face. The guys then take turns fucking the girl while she attempts to keep sucking and jerking off the other men. The men proceed to take turns at her ass and she performs much ass-to-mouth oral. Some form of double penetration occurs, and the scene ends with a last round of fucking and lots of come shot onto the girl's face. That's roughly the size of it, with variations on the theme. Buxom blonde Alicia Rhodes starts off in a little black dress and performs a double anal penetration, though her big bouncing boobs are my highlight of her scene. Tight-bodied brunette Jackie Moore takes two men in her pussy. Angel Long, the tall English blonde with the amazing legs, has her bottom double penetrated several times, and also gets into an impressively athletic piledriver double penetration scenario. Performance wise, Alicia does throw herself into things as expected and is pretty assertive in demanding more from the men; Jackie is more submissive and seems content to just take it; Angel arguably seems the most excited about the situation and performs wanton acts of sexual athleticism with what seems like the most genuine excitement, though it's all very serious and laden with exaggerated nasty attitude. Not too rough, nothing that regular porn viewers will find outrageous, but I wonder how this would play if shown to a conservative jury… Mind your language… The biggest similarity shared by the scenes, to varying degrees, is the endless flow of foul-mouthed remarks. The verbals are virtually non-stop, and while they do include some choice comments, especially from our "English roses", I have to say that I mainly found this very wearing, very fast. As seems to be the case with many of the English girls who appear in porn, Alicia and Angel routinely refer to themselves as a filthy slut/whore etc and vociferously demand to be treated as such. The guys behave as guys in these sorts of circumstances seem to do, i.e. they gladly call the girls filthy slut/whore etc in return. The girls call the guys dirty fuckers and so on it goes like a stuck record. Jackie Moore is almost demure by comparison, and though not as bad the guys still keep going through her scene with this "dirty talk". If that's the way they want to play it, then fine, but it often feels like gratuitous, mean-spirited abuse. This is one of these things that just seem to be taken as part of the game in porn, but it's an attitude I find pretty questionable and certainly detracts from any enjoyment I might have had. In the end… This is a shame, as Vince Vouyer largely overcomes the pitfalls of the gangbang genre by keeping the focus on the girls as much as possible. The notorious male ass shots are minimised and the girl generally remains as much in full view as is feasible without disappearing, as is all too often the case, behind a gang of masturbating men. It might seem that having a group of guys at their beck and call may potentially be a fantasy for some women, but this movie, like most of its type, is all done from a male perspective. It's masturbatory material for men who like to watch a girl being made to take it like a slut, as is mentioned ad nauseam. I find that fairly depressing. No attempt to explore the female side of the fantasy is made, not that I would expect it, and it's all rooted in the solid, basic, and technically competent but resolutely unimaginative reality of pornography. I don't really know what I was hoping for, maybe something really special from man-eater Alicia, for example, but Seven the Hard Way 2 comes from a place where having sex with a bunch of guys is all in a day's work. It's hard work and they put every effort into it, but it's work all the same. DVD Comments The picture quality on the disc is good though some of the sound is a touch on the rough side. It's a reasonable production but let's be honest - its ambition goes no further than rudimentary competence. The movie is backed up with a ten-minute behind the scenes clip (biggest revelation - Steve Holmes had more sex with Alicia Rhodes than with his own wife that month!) and a neat little "Boner" scene where Alicia gives Uncle Vinny a private show. Trailers and photo gallery round it up - no more or less than expected, really.
