The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I’ve been really impressed with Pat Myne behind the camera, and look forward to every one of his movies I can find.

Initial Reaction: It’s good, but not quite up to what Pat’s currently doing.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants a nice variety of sex without worrying about the plot stuff.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants a lot of anal and nastier sex

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced, although I did notice a couple minor background noises. The video is very similar. It’s well lit and even, but it has some minor grain which is just enough to almost interfere with things.

Music: There’s a little music to start out each scene. It varies in style slightly from scene to scene, but each time dominates the audio as long as it’s around.

Disc Complaints: There’s a trailer for Sex and the Studio before the main menu which you can’t easily skip. You can skip forward to another commercial for Metro, but you can’t skip right to the main menu to get at the movie. This always annoys me, but I also think it’s something which Metro’s thankfully stopped doing.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu has some very minor animation while the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

5 Tales of Sin gives you, that’s right, five sex scenes. There isn’t a setup story to lead into each scene as one might expect, but instead there’s a tease from the lovely ladies in each scene. Each tease has a style about it and sets up the entire scene getting everything that’s needed across without wasting time on bad action or storytelling.

Scene 1 - Charmane Star and Dillion Day

Charmane starts things out giving a nice little tease in her sexy nurse’s outfit and stripping it off before moving on to start Dillion’s physical. She mouths his manhood before climbing up to ride it cowgirl style. She also lets Dillion take her from behind and missionary style on the exam bed. Finally, Dillion pulls out and pulls Charmane down so that she can take a dose of dick droppings across her pretty mouth.

This is a very nice way to start out the feature. Charmane starts things out right with her tease, and both she and Dillion put some nice energy into the scene. They also have nice chemistry and keep things moving nicely. There isn’t anything overly special about this scene, but it worked very nicely for me.

Scene 2 - Tawny Roberts and Ricky Roberts

Tawy starts out her scene putting in a horsey plug and rubbing a bit of baby oil around her bald beaver. She plays around with it briefly before putting on a black and pink bikini and heading out to lay out by the pool. She’s joined by Ricky, who admires her goddess-like body before moving down to tongue her twat. She lets him work over her holes with his tongue and fingers before giving him some great head complete with excellent eyes. Tawny moves on to take it through cowgirl, doggie, and a little mish before Ricky gives her a facial which she swallows down.

This is another nicely done scene. Ricky and Tawny have the great chemistry one would hope for from a real life couple, but the editing seems a bit off here. There’s a little doggie near the end that seems thrown in, and with the cut to the pop shot makes me wonder if Ricky had a bit of wood problems.

Scene 3 - Honey, Kaylynn, and Lee Stone

Kaylynn and Honey start things out looking extra slutty playing around in a back alley. After a bit they’re joined by Lee, and the oral love flows all around. Lee picks up the girls to eat them out, and they team up nicely to work him over down below. Honey finally gets the first ride, and Kaylynn shows there’s no hard feelings by giving Honey’s bung a little tongue while she’s getting fucked. Honey returns the favor while Kaylynn sits on Lee’s face before getting a bit more missionary action with Kaylynn on top of her. Kaylynn takes a bit of doggie before letting Lee bone her behind missionary and reverse cowgirl styles. Finally, Lee blasts his baby batter across the girls mouths as they sit with their heads together.

This is a nicely done scene. Honey hasn’t always done much for me, so I was hoping for a lot of Kaylynn going into this scene. Honey, however, did a great job here, and the three of them had excellent chemistry as well as very nice energy. The camera work seemed a bit off at times, but at this time Pat hadn’t been behind the camera too long. At its worst the camera work is average here, but there are a few very nice shots as well and Pat sets things up very nicely here. This isn’t any outstanding scene, but it is very good, and my only complaint was that there wasn’t much cumswapping at the end.

Scene 4 - Dee and Pat Myne

After giving a great tease around a jail cell, Dee, dressed in a nice little cop uniform, admires Pat while he relieves himself in the corner. They admire each other through the bars before Dee drops down to mouth his manhood. She backs off, strips down, and teases Pat from against the wall before going inside to join him. Pat tongues her holes before giving it to Dee missionary style on the bed. He also fucks her from behind against the bars and lets her have a little control riding him on the bed. Finally, Pat gives Dee a kiss and then strokes himself onto her amazing natural tits. Dee looks up at him with a smile before sucking out the last few drops.

This is an excellent scene. Pat gives his usual dependable performance, but it’s Dee who makes this scene smoke. Her tease drives the scene far beyond where it might have ended up, and she keeps enough energy through the scene that the heat never lets up. This is easily one of the best scenes in the movie.

Scene 5 - Britney Foster and Pat Myne

Britney starts out the final scene as a sexy taxi driver / hooker who picks up cowboy Pat. He pays her for her time, and then heads to the back of Britney’s van to give her the tip. She gives him some oral loving before letting Pat return the favor on her shaved slit and purty pucker with his tongue and fingers. Pat moves on to bone her beaver in a few positions before fucking her ass reverse cowgirl style. Finally, Britney gets down to take a facial to finish things up and sucks out the last few drops.

This is a pretty good scene to end things with. Britney seems a bit businesslike at times, but I guess that fits the scene. They have pretty good chemistry, and both put nice energy into the scene. The camera work is a bit limited, but with the location I don’t think that can be helped, and when one considers the location it’s actually pretty good. This is another very good scene who’s main problem is probably that there isn’t anything overly special about it.

5 Tales of Sin is a decent porno, but far from great. I’ll admit that my biggest problem going into this one was probably knowing that Pat Myne was behind the camera. Pat has been doing fantastic things behind the camera lately, and like everybody else, he’s learned a few things from experience. He has a lot more experience now than when he made this movie, and because of it, 5 Tales of Sin wasn’t as good as his current stuff. The positions seem a bit limited a few of the scenes felt very similar. The camera work is pretty good, but even that seemed slightly off at times. Christopher Streams has done a lot of great camera work, so here I’m guessing it’s a case of him and Pat not quite getting into the groove they currently have together. Don’t let that make you think that this isn’t a worthwhile feature, however. There’s some nice chemistry in the scenes, and Pat shows that he knows just how important the tease is. That tease is why I think Dee’s pairing with Pat is the best in the feature, although the other couples also do a good job. 5 Tales of Sin has its faults, but it’s still a decent movie to check out.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for Finally Legal 4, Skeeter Kerkove’s Anal Excursions, Ron Jeremy’s On the Loose: Venice Beach, and Runaway Teens. The photo gallery lasts nearly two and a half minutes, with about five seconds per very nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. There’s also web information and phone sex crap.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Metro’s DVDs can be found online for between $12 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. I’d aim low here. It’s not bad, but it’s not anywhere close to what Pat’s currently putting out. The sex is good, but the technical aspects lack a little and there isn’t anything worth mentioning for extras.

Note to Metro: Please either put a little effort into your extras or keep this as a low priced line rather than a medium priced one.
