NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good for an amateur movie. The audio is clear and very nicely balanced. There are a couple very minor background noises, but they’re extremely minor and didn’t interfere with the movie at all. The video is also very good for an amateur release. There’s a little grain, a few shadows, and a little camera motion. That said, it’s nothing compared to many amateur movies I’ve seen. If this were studio porn it would be hovering around the higher side of the average mark, but for an amateur movie it’s nicely impressive.

Music: None

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning. Most of the time it stays in the lower right corner, but about halfway through it switches to the upper right corner.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six stills.

The Feature

Five girls have gotten together for a little fun with a cameraman in a hotel room. There’s Shakina, a nice looking brunette with a tattoo on her right bicep, Carissa, a brunette with long straight hair, and Bev, a brunette with curly hair. To mix things up there’s also natural blonde Amy and redheaded Karen, and yes, the carpet matches the drapes for both of them.

The girls start things out in a hotel room getting dressed up, playing around, and enjoying a little wine. Amy is a cute blonde, Karen is a sultry redhead, and the other three girls are brunettes. Shakina quickly starts things out stripping out of a red Oriental style dress to reveal a stars and stripes bikini after Amy is drenched with red wine, and soon after all the girls are just wearing their shoes. They play around a bit kissing Shakina’s ass, get it on with each other, and then take a break to show off their asses. Shakina and Amy have the others lie back so they can tongue their twats before Shakina works on Amy with her fingers with the other three joining in to work on each of them. They all focus on Shakina next before giving Carissa a turn in the middle, after which Shakina needs a pee break. When Shakina comes back she starts fucking Carissa with a pink dildo from behind while enjoying a smoke. Shakina breaks off to eat Karen’s pussy as she sits on the counter in the bathroom, and when they com back they find Amy and Bev getting a little dildo action. They move from the bed to the chairs so Amy and Carissa can work on Shakina while Bev and Karen enjoy having the bed to themselves. When Shakina juices up the couch, Amy and Carissa lick up as much as they can. The girls move back to teaming up on one of their number at a time, and even let the cameramen lend a finger and tongue to their play. The guys never fuck the girls, but instead give a little help as the girls work each other over around the bed and bathroom. They keep working around before the girls get dressed and wave goodbye. Before they leave, however, they have to check out the chair Shakina soaked so Amy can have another few licks.

This is a fantastic movie, even if it is only one scene! All five girls are good looking as well as being very realistic and natural looking. There’s great chemistry among all of them, and there’s never a single moment when it doesn’t seem like they’re all having a ton of fun. Heck, you can tell just how much fun everybody’s having due to the attitude with the camera men. Their joining in for a little fingering and oral action, as well as plenty of comments through the movie, really helps the attitude of the movie. The girls mix things up very well and it never seems like two of the girls are completely hooked on each other. Shakina seems to lead the action, and she does a great job of getting Amy, Karen, and Carissa worked up as well. Bev seems a little standoffish at times, but even she seems to get into it nicely after a while. Yes, this is a single scene that lasts roughly seventy minutes, but I can’t say that I ever got bored with it either. 5 Gal Orgy Vol. 1 is one damn hot almost all girl fuck flick!

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most Shot at Home DVDs can be found online for $20. This one’s well worth the money! The sex is smoking hot and the technical aspects are nicely done. There’s even clips from many other Shot at Home releases as an extra which amateur movies rarely seem to have. This is a very hot and a very well done amateur DVD.

Note to Shot at Home: It’s hard to think of ways for you to improve things when you don’t leave the viewer with much blood above their beltline...
