Rocco Siffredi’s cousin Gabriel Zero does most of the behind the scenes work in creating Rocco’s movies. Gabriel handlesthe bulk of the camera work, and probably deserves more the title “director” on Rocco’s movies than does Rocco himself. Gabriel Zero has directed some movies on his own, with no Rocco involvement, and for several years he has also released collections of the casting moments he holds prior to the making of Rocco projects. My friend Gabriel Nine already reviewed one of these, Le Seigneur des Anus, which features several of the best recent Czech actresses in candid moments.

18 Salopes (“whores” in French) is an earlier casting movie, from perhaps the spring of 2001. It features a large helping of the leading current actresses based in Budapest. There isn’t any sex in the castings, but each girl gets a few minutes to chat with Gabriel Zero, and show off her body. This can be quite fun to watch, and the dialog confirms what I had already suspected, almost all of these girls speak English, even if some of them are reluctant to open their mouths and risk embarrassment by making errors in an actual movie. While the DVD is released by a French company, almost the entire DVD is in English, since few porn actresses know French.

The first sequence is the best. We find Mia Stone, Barbarella, and Alissa together on top of a building by the airfield featured in Rocco’s Initiations 4 and other movies. In increasingly stormy weather, the girls talk a little, pose, walk around in sexy ways, and show off their goodies. It is clear all three know exactly what they are doing, and Barbarella is particularly adorable. Intelligence shines in Mia’s eyes, in which we can read that displaying her open pussy to a pervert with a home movie camera is perhaps her least favorite part of her job. All three women have modelled for 1 by Day, and Mia currently is featured on ALSScans, but her behavior here and in other movies tells me that what she really prefers is having physical sex with buff young men. Still, the 15 minutes or so Gabriel spends with these three is a nice treat for their fans.

Gabriel then moves indoors for shorter solo moments with a long list of actresses. First is Russian Viva, who proves that she truly is as silly and crazy as she acts in her movies. Viva speaks very good English, but Alissa stops by briefly to chat with her in Russian. ALS model and girl-only movie performer Samantha (aka Katalyn) shows her Playboy pictorial, before her posing. A pretty girl I didn’t recognize counters with her own Penthouse pictorial. Then we are treated to Dora Venter, Betty Dark (aka Brandy, she gives her real name of “Beatrice,” which is likey the source of “Betty”), and 1 by Day model Agi, who is variously known as Agnes, Candy, and Carmen in her movies.

Sheila Scott gives her name as “Agnes,” and speaks perfect English. I had always suspected as much, but I had never heard her speak more than about five worlds total in perhaps 15 movies. Red haired, fake breasted Cindy is getting a lot of attention recently, but when she meets Gabriel, she is supposedly “soft-core only.” Sharone and Gabriel greet each other as old friends. Her name is actually “Sylvia,” and Gabriel calls her “Sylvie.” She insists several times that she still doesn’t do anal, because she doesn’t like it. Gabriel’s attempt at Jedi mind control fails, when he has her stare into the camera as he recites, “You like anal sex, you like anal sex...” Finally, Caroline Cage appears, looking great despite her newly acquired bolt-ons. I’ve seen her speak good English in behind the scenes moments, and here she confirms that as she admits to being 25 (so she must have been 21 when she debuted in 1998), and claims to currently only do softcore, since her boyfriend gets jealous.

The main movie is completed with two minor sex scenes. The first has Czech cutie “Marcella,” who is really Sabrina Black, blow a guy. Then George/Jiri Uhl gets it on with Sandra Russo for perhaps the 1000th time, but the scene improves slightly when another cute blond joins. Both women take him up their butt, with the other one giving ass to mouth sucking, until they share his cum.

The DVD extras include some casting moments in Prague. Isha Paradise was the only girl I recognized. JTC includes an image with other boxcovers, and two can be clicked on for useless previews. The photo gallery includes shots from the two sex scenes, and a few of Mia, Alissa, and Barbarella.

I haven’t mentioned my usual references of other movies this time. If you recognize the names, you’ll know who these women are. If you don’t recognize the names, then 18 Salopes a enculer will probably not interest you. Even then, this movie is only really for the completist, the one who wants to get a deeper glimpse at the personalities of these women and see a bit of a private strip show. If you meet this criteria, take note that 18 Salopes is in region free PAL format, meaning you need a PAL DVD player or a DVD Rom drive to view it (I have the latter). I very much enjoyed this unnecessary movie, and it is successful for what it is because of the wonderful collection of actresses featured. For better or for worse, I need these little moments to complete my viewing experience.
