This is one of a series of casting movies that Rocco’s cousin and cameraman Gabriel Zero has released through a French company. This is the best of the four I have seen because it is of tremendous historical significance to European porn. These castings, held at a resort outside of Prague, set up the “Prague Spa Chronicles,” a collection of movies and separate scenes shot over a period of a few weeks (at most) primarily at this location. The same actresses performed in multiple scenes for at least five different directors, and footage shot during this stretch in late 1999 or very early 2000 was still being released as late as the spring of 2002. The Prague Spa Chronicles yielded some of the best Euro porn movies ever made, and their influence extended to many future projects. What follows is something of an extended history lesson, so feel free to scan down to the bottom of the page.

To begin with, it must be pointed out that these were more than just castings for Rocco. Nacho Vidal sat in on most of them, and Gabriel Zero even observes, “these are for you too,” since Nacho was preparing to launch his Killer Pussy line. Evidence here and in other Gabriel Zero casting movies shows that the Rocco production team shares casting footage, locations, and actresses with Christoph Clark, and perhaps through Clark, or possibly simply directly, with Jean Yves LeCastel (and vice versa). Finally, Joey Silvera was in Prague at this time, and shot his Please! 9 with the women found in this process. Meanwhile, Gabriel Nine (no relation to Gabriel Zero!) relates to me that the German productions that Zane released in the USA as the Czech Extreme and Backdoors of Prague lines were made at the same time, at the same locations, and with the same performers.

18 Filles (“young ladies,” it is the French word that was adapted into English as “filly” to describe a young female horse) begins in a bedroom (used for actual scenes in Rocco Ravishes Prague 4 and Killer Pussy 3) with Gabriel Zero flipping through the pages of Jessica Fiorentino’s modelling portfolio. She’s a gorgeous young brunette with a seriously kinky streak. As with all of the following castings, she strips and shows off her wares for frank assessment, and with her initially is an attractive but less stunning friend, who strips first. I didn’t recognize the friend, but Jessica develops an instant rapport with Gabriel. He can’t resist licking and fingering her pussy, something he doesn’t generally do in his castings, and she reciprocates by by giving him a sensuous blowjob. She’s a natural at on-camera sex, and immediately after this made scenes at the spa for Please! 9 and Killer Pussy 2, and also one used in Rocco Ravishes Prague 4 that was shot at a downtown Prague apartment. She later went to Budapest for her awesome scene with Mallory in Animal Trainer 6, and worked with Gabriel Zero one more time when he shot Kelly’s Way to Love for Kelly Stafford.

Gabriel next shot extensive tease and posing footage of Jessica May by the oft-seen spa pool. She became perhaps a still better friend than did Jessica Fiorentino, as can be seen in the bonus scene to 18 Chiennes a Dresser (a later casting movie), and worked with Gabriel again as recently as in Rocco’s Reverse Gangbang 2. After the posing, she gave Nacho a short blowjob, to end her part of the castings. As with the other Jessica, she was immediately employed in Please!9 and Killer Pussy 2, and also at this time made scenes for True Anal Stories 13 and Hardball 7. She was paired with the other Jessica for the “coke party” scene of Kelly’s Way to Love, and joined the Rocco-Clark Paris trip that resulted in (in her case) scenes for Hardball 8 and Euro Angels 23.

Back in the bedroom, the next casting was with a slender yet curvy brunette I didn’t recognize. If I get more details, I’ll add an addendum to this review.

The brunette was followed by plain, cute, curvy Kelly, who went on to appear in the opening casting sequence of Rocco Ravishes Prague 3. She speaks good English, and when she states her name, Gabriel jokes, “I know a Kelly, she’s from London!” referring to Kink Queen Kelly Stafford. The Kelly at hand is being visited by Aunt Flo, so she doesn’t fully display herself, but she shows enough that Nacho begs her not to shave her bush any further. He didn’t go on to do any scenes with her, to the best of my knowledge, but she later did appear in Matador 7 with more pubic hair. (Late word from Gabriel Nine indicates that Kelly takes a fisting in one of the German/Zane movies)

Sarka is a plain, slender brunette, who isn’t comfortable on camera. Her name is found on several cast lists, but I didn’t recognize her. She’s followed by Petra, a typically Czech statuesque hardbody whom I also don’t know, and slender, black haired Ada, whom I’ve only noticed ever in Matador 7. The LeCastel connection continues with Helen Birne, who acts quite giggly. Her scenes in Matador 5 and Assman 9 were probably made before this casting. Next are two Belorussians I haven’t seen elsewhere, named Jana and Victoria.

Sandra Key gives her name as “Katka,” when her casting is held down by the pool. She speaks very good English, and is reputed to be Latvian, though Katka sounds like a Czech name. Gabriel asks her his regular question, does she do anal sex? He’s delighted when Sandra replies, “Of course.” She’s actually very good at, and proved it just after this with a couple of blistering scenes in Hardball 7, and single scenes in True Anal Stories 13 (non-anal, she helps out the plundering of Jessica May’s ass) and Animal Trainer 7 (she and Vivien Laroche are Catherine Count’s victims). She later worked with Nacho in Latin Psycho 1, with Clark in Big Natural Tits 1, and had previously done scenes for LeCastel in Matador 4 and Debauchery 7. Sandra is called “Dagmar” in some pf her Rocco scenes.

The remaining castings are all back in the bedroom. First up is Catherine Count, who had already performed as “Vlasta” in Assman 9 and Matador 1. She’s playful and very comfortable on camera. Her breasts are usually partially covered, but here it is shown that despite their small size, they are definitely fake. Before sugery, she must have been almost totally flat chested. Catherine is capable of demonstrating tremendous personality on screen, and Gabriel Zero wasted no time in filming her as a strangely submissive dom in the scene from Animal Trainer 7 that I already mentioned for Sandra Key. She then joined Amanda Angel for the famous downtown apartment scene in Rocco’s Way to Love. The two later were on the Rocco-Clark Paris trip that yielded their epic re-teaming with Rocco for Animal Trainer 4, and which found Catherine starring as Clark’s wife in multiple scenes of Hardball 8. Clark also gave her a scene in Euro Angels 22, which I haven’t seen, and she worked with LeCastel again in Assman 14.

Tall, blonde, busty Lucy (she’s Czech, and not to be confused with tall, blonde busty, slightly younger Hungarian Lucy (aka Lolita)) is quite shy in her casting. She’s able to hide this quite well in her many movie roles. She’s in Matador 5 and on the cover of Assman 13, and just after this casting she made scenes for Rocco Ravishes Prague 2, Euro Angels 21, and most memorably, Please! 9 (where her makeup is much better than usual). Lucy is a favorite of mine, and recently had a good turn in Czech Perfect.

Sandra Key is back, and brings with her star in the making Monica Sweetheart! Monica was still 18, and had a few scenes (Matador 5 and Assman 12, for example) under her belt. Nacho already knew her, and announces, “She is the best one!” Monica is another natural at being on camera, and is totally charming and smooth, showing how she earned her stage name. She was immediately put to work on the scenes that became Rocco Ravishes Prague 4, and making a scene with Clark for Euro Angels 21. Clark later brought her to Budapest for the making of Euro Angels 24 and Hardball 9, but first worked with her at the Prague spa for a scene Stagliano put into Buttman’s Anal Show 2.

When Zdenka enters the room, she and Gabriel greet each other as old friends, and Nacho is so happy to see her that he tackles her onto the bed. She first worked with Gabriel and Rocco in Animal Trainer 1 (it’s a long story, but the scene is also on the Animal Trainer 2 DVD). Nacho met her when they made True Anal Stories 10, and recalling her uniformed role in that scene, Gabriel asks him, “Remember the police?” Zdenka has done lots of work for Clark since then (Big Natural Tits 1,2, & 4), and has nothing to prove here, but does show an unexpected talent for mimicking an American accent. With her are Veronica Weiss and Laura Dark. Laura already had some LeCastel experience behind her, in Assman 9, and was immediately used in Hardball 7 at the spa. There she is labelled “Jana,” and that is the name she tells Gabriel Zero. She and Veronica both appear in the later Debauchery 8, and LeCastel used Veronica again in Matador 8 and Assman 14. Nacho was instantly taken with Veronica, and quickly made scenes with her at the spa (Killer Pussy 1) and at the apartment (Rocco Ravishes Prague 2). Both of those were with Amanda Angel, but Veronica returned to the apartment for another scene found in Rocco Ravishes Prague 3. Later, she went to Budapest with Monica Sweetheart for Euro Angels 24 and Hardball 9.

The final casting is with “Nicolla,” who peforms as Vivien Laroche. Nacho and Gabriel are both instantly captivated, and she was quickly put to work making scenes for Animal Trainer 7 (Catherine Count’s victim, as mentioned previously) and Killer Pussy 2. Two years later, she worked with Nacho again in Killer Pussy 11. She made a great first impression during the casting because she the guys can feel through her underwear that she is wet. Vivien is nervous, but she is also very eager and willing to show off her body. Gabriel is so aroused that he has her give him a blowjob, which closes out the castings.

The final part of the movie is a full sex scene. It may have been scripted, but it feels real, and if it wasn’t purely spontaneous, Gabriel is still surprised by how intense it becomes. It commences as he enters the bedroom to fetch Nacho for some sightseeing. Nacho is sprawled on the bed, and tells Gabriel to go away. Something is obviously going on, so Gabriel opens to the door to the bathroom. Sure enough, Marina stands over the sink, putting on makeup in the mirror. And she isn’t alone. Behind the door, Amanda Angel sits on the toilet, relieving her bladder. This may be the only time ever recorded which finds Amanda flustered and embarassed, and if you’re a sick SOB like I am, this moment is priceless.

Once the ladies are ready, they join the guys on the bed. Amanda is now known as Private star “Lynn Stone,” and gives her name as “Linda.” Both women are obviously very fond of Nacho, and can’t contain their excitement all through the following scene. We are treated to perhaps the first ever display of Amanda’s legendary deep throat skills, as she spends a long time taking in all that Nacho can give. She’s yet another natural, and Gabriel is deeply impressed. She spends a while worshiping her awesomely toned body, as Nacho fills Marina with delight by sucking forcefully on her pussy. He then fucks Marina’s pussy, and goes deep up her ass, with Amanda happily settling into her usual future role of helper. Marina loves it, and took Nacho deep up her backside again in the scene from Killer Pussy 2 that also includes Vivien Laroche. Amanda meanwhile shows absolutely no hesitation in sucking Nacho ass to mouth, another of the traits for which she later became known. Eventually, Nacho rims Amanda, but before they can get to any intercourse, he blows his load on her asshole. Marina slurps it right up, and the movie closes with Amanda giving one last deep throat to Nacho’s shrinking member, before the girls cumswap as the picture fades out. Gabriel gave Marina a small role in Rocco Ravishes Prague 2, and she later appeared in the unrelated Meridian Makes a Movie.

Amanda proved she was a fabulous performer from the get go, and Silvera immediately put her in Please! 9, where she joined Nacho for Jessica Fiorentino’s scene. The two then joined Amanda’s friend Veronica Weiss for the aforementioned scenes in Rocco Ravishes Prague 2 and Killer Pussy 1, and joined Rocco and Catherine Count for Rocco’s Way to Love. Amanda was then on the Paris trip, and made the famous sex club scene in Animal Trainer 4 already listed for Catherine Count. Also in Paris, she had very good scenes for Clark found in Euro Angels 23 and Hardball 8. And las with Catherine and Veronica, LeCastel cast her in Assman 14. These days it can be hard to recognize Amanda when she plays the short haired Virtulalia character in Antonio Adamo’s movies, but she might never have gotten that role without the hardwork she put into her career, beginning with 18 Filles.

The DVD of 18 Filles Pour Gabriel Zero has a short photo gallery of stills from Rocco Ravishes Prague 2 & 4, Rocco’s Way to Love, and True Anal Stories 13. The only other extra is “4 bonus scenes.” In fact, for two of these you need to first access JTC’s website. What remains is nine minutes split between Jill Kelly riding Eric Price, and then Brooke Ashley and another girl coaxing a cum shot out of Peter North. The picture and sound quality of the castings is pretty good, considering that they are basically home movie footage. The DVD is region free PAL, so a DVD-Rom drive or a PAL formatted DVD player is needed to view it.

I found 18 Filles for only 15 Euros at a French online store. The final scene with Amanda and Marina is basically worth that alone, but at any higher price, I can only recommend it to completists. The movie will be basically useless to those who don’t want a closer, more intimate look into the personalities of the women involved. But if you have seen every one of the associated movies that I listed, and want to know where the Prague Spa Chronicles all began, then this is a very valuable piece of history that fills in some blanks and completes the puzzle. Rocco Ravishes Prague 2 is set for release on DVD nine days after I write this, and I can hardly wait. Meanwhile, Please! 9 is sadly still a long ways from making it to DVD. Hardball 7 is due by early autumn, and as far as I know, all of the other associated titles I mentioned can be found on DVD. Taken together, they form a remarkable body of work, and I hope that someday the Rocco scenes (at least) from this time can all be brought together in one unified package. As it stands, some of the scenes are spread pretty wide, and one of the Prague apartment ones wasn’t even released until True Anal Stories 15 earlier this year (it doesn’t have any of the women shown in 18 Filles). If all of the above seems confusing, it is worth your time to seek out the various titles individually, as there are very few bad moments in what is essentially one giant movie spread among various separate releases.

UPON FURTHER REVIEW : I need to add that Hardball 9 and Euro Angels 21, 23, & 24 are also far from DVD release in the USA. Also, Monica Sweetheart and Amanda Angel made a scene at the spa during the Prague Spa Chronicles, just after the castings, which is found on Animal Trainer 6. Finally, I rechecked my DVD of Assman 14, and I found that Amanda Angel, Catherine Count, and Veronica Weiss were joined by Marina, who does a scene with Maria Ricci (aka Blue Eyes). Marina is actually the cover girl for Assman 14, but I never recognized her because her hair is slicked back and her makeup is much better. After comparing facial moles, it is definitely the same Marina, making Assman 14 even more of a related movie than I had previously assumed.
