  I think parents beat their kids mostly out of ignorance. The argument that &quot;it works&quot; isn't really an argument because there are other disciplining methods that work better and that don't involve violence. One must, of course, be aware of them and willing to use them.

  I usually don't get major updates until they've had several minor updates. Let them work out the bugs. It was the same way with FF3 as far as I remember.
